Usually have a great experience here, but today the server wasn't attentive at all. Maybe she was the only server, but even still she was very attentive to other tables but just kept only glancing at ours. However a big thank you to Thomas for making sure we were okay on her behalf. We just tipped him instead.

If you get the chance to ask for Brendi, do it! What a great server. Miss Sandra sat us at a great table. Monarch Club is a place like no other. Thank you again for a great pregame experience

If the rooftop patio isn't open, Monarch isn't really worth the expense: $20 for a cocktail, which tasted good. $20 for burrata, $18 for a flatbread -- both were OK, but the burrata was served with crackers out of a box, and the flatbread crust was akin to school cafeteria pizza. Our server disappeared into the kitchen for more than ten minutes after we asked for a water refill, and the place wasn't full. The patio was wet, so it was closed for "safety reasons." And they were thirty minutes late on getting reservations seated because they hadn't finished reconfiguring the seating after they decided to close the patio.

Fun celebration night in Detroit. The only real negatives were that the service was pretty slow, and the small bites menu didn't include any dessert items. Awesome location and uncrowded.

We sat at the bar - both Courtney & George were attentive, engaging & skilled mixologists. The whitefish spread was tasty. We plan to return on our next Date Night in the city.

Beautiful setting but the service was absolutely awful. Took 25 minutes to just get water and another 20 to get drinks. Server was rude. We left after one drink and didn't even order food.

The view was incredible.. the food was great. They serve small plates but we were able to get a few small plates which was nice to have a variety. Although they were out of 3 items we had asked for that were on the menu. The service was slow and subpar. It took a while to get the waitress once we sat, to get our drinks and when or food came out we didn't have any napkins or silverware. Once the waitress came back we were done eating with greasy hands. Then she brought back cocktail napkins. They forgot one of our orders of food. Just not impressed with the service but the view and food were great. I would go back but definitely make a reservation.

We waited 30 minutes for a drink, we were never checked on. We had to flag someone down to place an order of food, which we never received. We asked for our check and were charged for drinks we didn't order. One of the bus boys literally laughed at my boyfriend when he said he wasn't done with his drink (there was a little left in the glass). It's a beautiful place but horrible staff.

I made reservations and brought a date for our first visit to Detroit. We were seated and about 20 minutes in we were not served or even looked at all all. I could see my date getting frustrated. Someone finally came and said she would get us some water. Another 20 minutes later still no water. When I suggested we leave my date immediately shot up and said “I'm so glad you said that.” I was embarrassed because I really wanted to like this place. Spoke to someone who got way too aggressive with his fake outrage with our dissatisfaction and got the manager. Timid young woman came to speak with us but I could not hear her. She was so soft spoken. We just left and found a dive bar. Not a good introduction for my first time in Detroit.

My reservation was 6:30pm, we wanted to have one hour drinks outside due my birthday prior dinner. Out table wasn't ready or given to someone else, so we sit 25 mins after and the server took our order 10 min later, drinks took long time so at 7:12 I had to stand up and literally find the server to cancel. She wasn't really empathic , and we had to leave. Our dinner reservation was 7:30. Awful experience and waste of time on my day. I had to apologize my guest

We booked this reservation on a recommendation from one of the local travel blogs. We arrived just before our reservation time (about 6:50pm) and were immediately seated with a choice of seat, which we were grateful for. Once we sat down, our waitress took our food and drink order (about 5 mins after we sat, we believe it was written down) and proceeded to help us out. 15 minutes went by before she came back and mentioned that somehow the computers were failing and the order didn't go through. She asked again what we ordered (drinks only, because she said the food was in), and we helped her out wit hour order. She came back with two mixed drinks after just about a minute. They were the correct ones, so we accepted and enjoyed them. Our food was taking a bit which was fine, but at about 7:35 we were told it was last call. We ordered one more round. The drinks that were delivered were not what was ordered, but we were able to have that fixed within five mins. Next our food was delivered One of the items on the menu was not available and the other had an undisclosed allergen. Luckily, I was able to ask before eating and this allergen was confirmed and removed. This allergen was NOT included on the menu in the description of the item. The item was remade quickly without the allergen. Overall, the views of this place are absolutely stunning. I would probably try to order at the bar and take in the views at one of the courtyards, but ultimately we were disappointed.

The Monarch Club was the perfect location for my (day after) birthday celebration! From meeting Sean Jones in the main lobby to being greeted once at the Penthouse to Gregory's stellar, attentive service, the night was all that! I'd like to also mention the young, black gentleman in the blue suit who I had previously talked with prior to the event who was also very gracious and kind to me and my guests! Great job!

Service is good, but the times I've gone (3) I feel like they could use one or two more bartenders. The drinks take time to make and an additional bar would help with the number of orders. Overall the experience is very good though!

Great Rooftop Bar with views! Fun atmosphere before the football game! Enjoyed the drinks and the flatbread was yummy! Visiting from out of town and perfect place to see some sites and pregame!!!

I always enjoy going to the Monarch because of the beautiful scenery of the city and the people. We had a few people from out of town so this was one of our choice spots to go to. I did enjoy myself but our server did not seem as if she was happy at all (maybe a bad day) and the order of steak sliders were very fatty. not very happy about that but management did take the item off the bill so all was well. The only mishap of the evening all in all is a great place to hang out and take in the city,
