“The Millender Center is a hotel, a shopping mall and an apartment complex all in one glorious mid 80s structure. It spans two city blocks in downtown Detroit with a portion of the building forming a bridge over Larned street. The shops are not numerous, but includes 3 restaurants, a market with quality groceries, a party store, fashion shop, credit union, hair styling, book store and a few more. The Millender has a People Mover stop and two "gerbil walks" that connects to the Renaissance Center and to the city county building (city hall). The complex also has a public parking garage which is pretty convenient. This place is a great hidden gem in Detroit.”

“For a holiday rush this was definitely a one stop shop place to go! Although product is literally everywhere, the is a LARGE variety available. There was almost no one on the floor to assist you but the cashier (Marcus if I'm not mistaken) was extremely helpful and made the whole checkout quick and easy! Funny dude seriously his whole attitude is a vibe!”

“Wow! What a great building with multiple levels and great automotive displays. Great place to take a break, use a restroom, and get a bite to eat. Highly recommend stopping here to enjoy the views inside and out. Take the People Mover or walk. We did both, to and from. Everything is super close, so not a big deal to walk, but definitely a plus to take the people mover to view the entire downtown. Best of all, free to visit!”

“Picked up chicken shawarma salad at Bucharest. It was prepared with a lot of care this time. I've had instances in the past where the meat was too salty or the lettuce was not fresh. The interior is nice, also by the front entrance there is a small independently owned dessertcounter(delicious). The plaza needs to do something about the mile high speed humps that are constantly scraping up under your car.”

“It's good to have this shopping center in the neighborhood. I just wish we hadn't lost the only Drug Store for miles. I know the old Walgreen portion of the drug store is up the street, but I miss full service stores. I hope someone takes over Rite-Aides location soon.”

“With a Dollar General, beauty supply, chicken and Chinese food restaurants it's impressive to see these businesses thrive throughout the transformation of this neighborhood. Hopefully things will improve even more.”
