I have to say there are some nice people. They are respectful to most people. I see a lot of what they go through. People are trying to steal and argue with them. They feed hungry people and help them out.
All y'all coming here be talking bad about these good folk just trying to make a live and running business. They don't give nobody no bad time. All they ask is nobody steals and nobody brings alcoholic drinks and drugs. That all.
Why so many haters in this post. It be like if they are not here where you gonna go? Rite Aid already closed down from all they mfer their and bumbs be hanging out and harassing customers. Leave thosefolk a let them do they business.

This gas station is extremely disgusting ! Very racist! The men are disgusting all of them flirt with every woman. And the customer service is awful. If this place wasn’t convenient I would say don’t come here and give this place any money ! They hate black people ! I repeat They hate black people ! Everyone in here is absolutely insane !!!!

Went to get some gas and I used my card finished filling up hit the button to get a receipt and it said I have to go inside so I go to get my receipt and the female clerk wouldn't let me in to get it said she was mopping the floor and to come back later mind you I'm On my way to work. I will never patronize this business again. better not have any extra charges on my card

Used to go here literally every single day until i realized my change was always short. Make sure you ask the prices of everything & count your change! Multiple times i was overcharged at least $3 for no reason. First time i thought maybe i counted wrong but then it happened again two other times! Then i knew. Even when back in to see why & was met with rude responses. Added everything up after asking them the prices & i was overcharged over $3. They even tried to argue with me that sales tax is higher than 6%?♂️Even charged me the full amount for cigarettes that had $1 off promotions again until i said something, Have not been back since & will not go back. Just be aware please!

Last gas on Woodward til the river... or first gas on Woodward coming up from downtown. The location of this Shell guarantees a steady stream of business and the convenience of this spot at Forest and Woodward has had me stopping here for many years. This gas station predates who knows how many businesses in the vicinity... and yet I'm the first to review it on Yelp and had to create a listing. Likely cause it's nothing special and the only memorable thing about it is if someone is acting the fool here. People hustling for money, drunks being obnoxious... sometimes the location here isn't worth the annoyance of stopping. The Marathon a bit to the north on Woodward, past the museums and DPL is somewhat more chill and has a much better convenience store selection. Shell is tiny and bare bones, packed to the gills with junk food, junk food and cancer sticks behind the glass. Nothing healthy at all beyond water and maaaybe bananas. It's usually dirty and messy in there, too. All kinds of stickiness around the cheap ass gas station cappuccino machine. You might get stuck waiting for people playing the lottery there, though. Thank goodness there's no lottery at this Shell. The line would be halfway through the parking lot with even more bs going on. I will pull in here to gas up if I'm on E but generally avoid this Shell especially on weekend nights and anytime it's jammed up which is often.

I paid inside the store and the cashier was extremely rude to me when I needed help using Apple Pay. He yelled at my 2 year old son for picking up a piece of candy while I was holding him and paying for gas. I go to the pump and gas is not coming out, the screen says “thank you for your purchase.” I leave my kids in a hot truck with the windows open to go in and tell him there’s no gas. He tell me “you’re pumping, it should be working”And dismisses me. I go back outside and it’s still not pumping. I have to leave my kids once again to go into the store.I tell him I know how to pump gas, it’s not working and my kids are outside in the car and can he please come help me. He rudely tells me he’ll be right out, despite being the only person working. I go back and wait at the pump for ten minutes until finally a customer whoHeard the whole thing go down goes in to talk to him for me. The Good Samaritan comes out with a receipt telling me I’ve been refunded and I can go in and pay again if I need gas. No way, I left and I’ll never be returning. These business owners should be ashamed to run this place this way, no concern for customers with young children and no respect for peoples time. The way that boy behind the counter who was at lease a decade younger than me spoke to me was with the utmost disrespect.

I went there yesterday (Monday February 13between 10-10:30am) and the attendant had a line of people waiting while she had a personal speakerphone conversation on her cell phone.She didn't put the phone down OR tell the person to hold on. She wasn't in any type of hurry to provide customer service.I heard a few people state that they were in a hurry, but she never put the phone down.It appeared that the loud huffing and puffing amused her, because it's like she went slower while giving eye contact to everyone.By the time I got to her, she had ended her conversation, but I was in their for about 8-10 minutes waiting and she was already on the phone when I walked in.

..Hello I'm 65 years old...and the girl behind the counter was very disrespectful...because I was asking about the price of your product and why they were asking so much for it...$20...but I ended up paying for it anyway.. and I proceeded to leave the store..the girl that worked behind the counter her mother was and her brother....and the girls Mother followed me out the store...and her son came upon me....I never felt so threatened in my life......I ended up calling the police....because the womans son came up on me very threatening way pushing me with his chest....it seems they don't mess with young women or men just the older weaker people. ...and this was the first time I've ever been to the store. ...I've worked all my life pea my bills raised my children and now I have grandchildren. ...I felt so threatened. ..??

DO NOT give your money to this gas station. Not only are they rude n disrespectful but I also overhead the two employees behind the counter saying racist remarks about another customer as they left the gas station. I will never patronize this place ever again. I would give it a negative star if that was possible.

Pros: The employees are always friendly.Cons: The place should be inspected by the health department though. The coolers are so nasty and are never cleaned. Some you can’t even see through or the handle is busted off. Also seen black mold inside on the bottom of shelving. Also the expiration date on groceries needs to be checked. I found Dearborn brand beef sticks with fuzzy mold growing on them. I only return because of local walking-distance convenience

Cashier was rude, they seem to be out of stick of a lot of things, barely see through the cooler doors due to being dirty and in disrepair. Place looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the 90s. Would be awfully surprised if they didn't have bugs. Good for gas, if you pay at the pump, maybe. Otherwise the inside is nasty.
