During my recent visit to the Russell Industrial Center, I encountered a distressing situation. I was subjected to an act of homophobic aggression, where I was physically grabbed and mocked for being gay. This incident was deeply unsettling and made me feel unsafe. What compounded my discomfort was the response from the management. Despite reporting this serious issue to the supervisors and management, there was a lack of action or support. It’s disheartening to see such behavior overlooked in a public space, which should promote safety and inclusivity for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. This experience has significantly impacted my view of the Russell Industrial Center, and I hope that in the future, more rigorous measures are taken to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

This place has always been a Detroit treasure. I have been to so many awesome events here the past decade from The Dirty Show to Liquid Stranger. A lot of artists and small business owners create here. I miss growing bud here before the Feds swooped in.

We went here for the monsters ball halloween event. The venue itself was actually pretty clean there was security and it felt safe. The event itself wasnt what it was suppose to be. We were suppose to have shows and VIP bathrooms with there weren't any. There was a vip bar so they could make even more money then the over priced tickets we payed for with vip(100.00 each). To not offer the amenities they said and for the vip areas to be smaller then the rest of the show was as ridiculous. I will say that my lady was pleased with the way they maintained the restrooms. They had employees on staff cleaning the bathrooms between uses. We even left early the show was so good.

First rave! 10/10 loud spine tingling good time with me and all my friends! VIP was definitely worth it cut down on the walking a lot ? can't wait to go back soon! Drinks were a little pricey but I guess that's why the tickets were so cheap too ??♂️ all in all worth the visit

Title: A Captivating Day at the Russell Industrial Complex!Review: I recently had the pleasure of spending a day at the Russell Industrial Complex and it was nothing short of incredible. The space is a dynamic blend of the past and the future, where industrial architecture is transformed into a thriving hub of arts and humanities. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the vibrant energy that pervades the complex. The wide array of projects showcased here is awe-inspiring, displaying an impressive range of creativity and talent from local artists, designers, and entrepreneurs.I was particularly charmed by the sense of community the Russell Industrial Complex fosters. It’s not just a venue for exhibitions, it’s a nurturing environment where creativity flourishes and ideas are born.Another great aspect of this gem is its commitment to supporting local businesses. This is palpable in everything they do, from the products sold in their retail spaces to the events they host. It’s a testament to the power of supporting and uplifting your local community. In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Russell Industrial Complex to anyone looking for a unique, enriching experience. It’s a testament to Detroit’s resilience and creativity, a place where arts and humanities come to life in the most captivating way. So, visit, explore, and support your local businesses - you won’t be disappointed! Five stars without a doubt!

Visited for a concert and was really impressed with the utilization of such a unique space. Drinks were reasonably priced and there’s free street parking if you’re there early enough (otherwise they charge a fee in their lots, pricing depends on the event).

I guess I picked a wrong time to visit here. The place was almost empty, except for some shops open here. The vibe of the old, run-down factory was good, though.

Great space to have an event just make sure you have access to the elevator or else its going to be rough getting in and out of the building if you are doing events.
