Detroit K-9 Pet Supplies
14114 E Warren Ave, DetroitMy husband bought some dog food from the other K9 because what our dog usually ate, they didn't have any more at that location. We had to end up taking it back because the dog wouldn't eat it. So we brought it here and we were able to exchange it for her regular brand without a lot of hassle. The customer service is always great at both locations.

Happy Howie's Wholesale
15510 Dale St, DetroitThey're amazingly delicious treats. My dog told me so after eating them. But now he's been farting a lot more. I told my dog he'd better stop farting, but he wouldn't stop so I tried eating the treats myself and found out that they do indeed make one gassy. But they're so delicious. I'm now addicted and unable to stop farting. It's all good, though. My dog and I are in this together.

Detroit K-9 Pet supplies
14777 Gratiot Ave, DetroitGreat place! Bought my vaccinations and dewormer from the K9 Detroit location on Gratiot at 10am 2/3/24 . The nice young lady a formal Veterinarian Technician working there gave my three Pomeranians their shots and properly recorded it on their vaccination records with the next scheduled date as a reminder. It’s like she better than going to the veterinarian to get it done. Professional, kind and gentle. The most affordable alternative three vaccinations that covered 5 different diseases and a box of liquid dewormer (120cc) with the nice young lady administering the vaccinations to two puppies and one adult Pom for only $65 dollars!!! I live in Sterling Heights and there is no pet supply businesses anywhere that offer that unique service. Thank you Detroit K9 Gratiot east side location.

Pet Grooming
Pets and Bubbles Cafe
18499 Mack Ave, DetroitI had a great experience at Pets and Bubbles café. I experienced great communication with the owner, who called me back within 10 minutes of a missed call. These days it's really hard to find a business that will actually call you back. When I walked in, the business was super clean and organized, even though the owner and her groomer were balancing multiple pets at once. I was in and out less than 10 minutes for a walk-in nail trim, which I believe she does from noon to 3 PM on Thursdays. The owner was super kind to my dog and I, which I appreciated since not everyone is comfortable with Pitbulls. Towards the end of her nail trim, my dog started to get super nervous, so the owner went over and comforted her while the groomer finished the last paw. I love supporting this small business and will absolutely be back. I highly recommend that everyone goes here over any other chain like Petsmart or Petco.

Northwest Animal Clinic
17641 W McNichols Rd, DetroitI’ve lived in this neighborhood for a few years now and have never noticed this establishment. However, recently, my cat got stuck in the tree for 7 days and I was desperate to get him checked out. I arrived and was seen relatively quickly. Aside from some unnecessary charges (treatment for cat leukemia) everything suggested to me was all to help my cat be their most healthy self. Would take my cat back to them in the future.

Pet Sitting & Training
My Sidekick Dog Training
4444 Lawton St, DetroitWe found Ash recently when looking for help with our 6 yr old little Sheltie. Our fur baby has had anxiety with noises, meeting new people & excessive barking at most everything. After just a few sessions with Ash our fur baby has calmed right down. Ash has given us wonderful aides to help our little girl and Ash is very knowledgeable on extra training for our Kaylee. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dog training or help with behavior issues.

Summertown Fresh Bar
2015 Michigan Ave, DetroitOne of my favorite places! Staff is great. They have limited indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating (covered with heaters for cold weather). The patio is such a vibe!
I love the Belle Island smoothie. I add the adaptogenic mushroom mix to mine for an additional cost. Other add ons include electrolyte hydration boost, maca, pea/whey protein, hangover helper, immune booster, etc.
I haven’t tried much of their food menu, but if you want a good snack, I always enjoy the power bites — made with sunflower butter, date, goji berry, oats, chia, date syrup, and sea salt. Delicious! :)

Brewery Faisan
1087 Beaufait St, DetroitThe lavender beer was enjoyable, with a light, refreshing taste perfect for those who prefer milder drinks. I loved the subtle lavender flavor, which added a unique twist without being overpowering. Unfortunately, the $5 pretzel was a bit disappointing. It was on the harder and bland side even with the seasoning and only came with a spicy mustard, with no option for cheese, which would have been a nice addition. Not worth the price. The atmosphere, however, was warm and inviting, with plenty of board games to enjoy - perfect for a relaxed outing.

Eastern Market Brewing Co.
2515 Riopelle St, DetroitGreat beer selection, a relaxed vibe, and plenty of board games to enjoy. I also appreciated that they had the football games on, adding to the cozy atmosphere. If you like a sweeter beer, I’d definitely recommend the Flannel Weather (not the one pictured). Perfect spot for a laid-back evening.

Coronados Southwest Tacos food truck
6117 Vernor Hwy, DetroitI have been to alot of mexican spots lately, but this takes the cake. Highly highly recommend you stop in, it's worth a drive. The Al Pastor is excellent, and the chorizo quesadilla is a top contender as well. I hope to stop by again in the next week or 2 to try some other items and to bring the wife along.
Friendly, fast, tasty!!! Hits it all.

Empacho argentinian street food
2760 Larned St, DetroitThis Argentinian gem in Detroit transports you straight to Buenos Aires! The empanadas are nearly as good as the ones you’d find in Argentina—perfectly flaky on the outside with flavorful fillings that hit all the right notes. Each bite brings that authentic, homemade taste that’s hard to come by outside Argentina.
The rest of the menu is just as impressive, with traditional dishes and flavors that feel thoughtfully crafted. Whether you’re an empanada lover or just looking to explore Argentinian cuisine, this place is a must-visit.
Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society
13569 Joseph Campau Ave, DetroitWe recently added another four legged family member to our household, that we adopted through one of MACS adoption events. The adoption process is affordable and not a lot of paperwork. Upon arriving we met Stephanie, told her a bit of our household background and what we were looking for. Stephanie was determined help us choose a dog that would be a good match for our current dog, Toby who was also present to choose a new friend. Stephanie was patient with us while meeting animals and trying to make a decision, she was also very helpful with all our concerns and questions. She had a calm no pressure kind of approach which I was very impressed by. Toby now has a new friend! A vey big thanks to MACS and people like Stephanie that are determined to find all animals a loving home. Thank you MACS for helping us find our perfect new family member.
