We did not have a good experience overall here, the early preschool teacher Derica J is not emotionally or psychologically equipped to work with that age group alone. I've had my child in daycare ( not kindercare) since she was 1& 1/2; of course things aren't always going to be perfect but, every single morning we'd walk into that classroom Derica would be yelling, fussing, and nagging at those children to the point where I would tell her and other staff including the director and assistant director She needs help! There was usually no structure and when I was present she was rarely engaging directly doing activities with the children, particularly on two occasions saying " I'm trying to make sure y'all aren't bored" and once even hollering out " yall dont listen, I shouldn't have came to work today". I didn't like the boys and girls being in the bathroom at the same time! She was always defensive whenever I asked her why she doesn't ask for help from management...There would be multiple preventable incidents where the children would literally be physically fighting for several minutes before she intervened. Preventable bite incidents ( she wasn't watching them due to being overwhelmed) In my opinion Victoria the assistant director is just as impatient and low empathy with the children. The few weeks we attended my daughter became more aggressive at home with her sibling and one day had a suspicious lipstick kiss stain on her pants. Also had scratches from classmates; Extremely concerning, took away any confidence I had in CHAIN childcare centers.

I work near that place, I was watching a child going to the area where the air conditioning machines are and I saw a fat brunette caregiver take the child out of that area pulling him and pushing the child, and the child fell on his side and that woman did not I regretted his action because he left it lying around and he left the place. If you want to leave your children there, take into consideration that person.

I enrolled my daughter in Midtown KinderCare in October of 2023. I was quite nervous about her adjusting, as she had been at another center for 2 years. I have been extremely pleased with the care and attention she has received. I love that she enjoys going to school each day, and when she is sick, she is upset that she will miss school and her friends. Miss Angela, Miss Lilley, and Miss Mahogany in the pre-K class are all great! They are patient and attentive to the kids. And don't get me started on Ms. Marilyn and Ms. Victoria. I LOVE the fact that each morning when my daughter walks into the center, she is greeted by name by both Ms. Marilyn and Ms. Victoria. The care that Ms. Marilyn has for the kids and the center shows! Great job!!!

Kindercare has been great for my toddler. She is learning to play with kids and engaged on many activities. I can tell the teachers and director care for the kids.

Worst Daycare Ever!! My kid and I had a very bad experience with them. No care at all. Every time I tried to talk to the teacher, the director refused. My 4 years old kept complaining about them and I really had to send him there because I had a new baby. "The director" Amy is very unprofessional and has zero communication skills. My son was going through a hard time esp. after having a new sister and they did not help him at all. Don't send your kids there please!

My daughter has been at this center for a couple months and I am highly satisfied! The staff here are wonderful and go over and beyond! My daughter loves going to Midtown Kindercare. She has learned so much at this center. The teacher, staff and directors take pride in there job and make each child feel special. I highly recommend this center! 5 stars!

KinderCare Midtown in Detroit, MI has been instrumental in my grandson's development, both academically and socially. He loves his attendance and speaks fondly of the staff. His enrollment has proven to be an investment that pays big dividends.

Hands down my absolute favorite Daycare! Amy Arena is an amazing director and always responds quickly to questions or concerns. My children constantly receive compliments with how advanced they are. I credit Midtown KinderCare for these compliments because they’re teaching my children new things everyday! True story, my oldest began correcting us when we misidentify a dinosaur, heavy-machinery, etc. after he learned about these subjects with KinderCare. We’ve attended five KinderCare locations since COVID kicked off due to temporary location closures and consolidations. Every location was amazing but my children were extra excited returning back to the Midtown location! All locations are integrated with KinderCare’s mobile apps where we receive photos, videos, and updates throughout the day. Their grandparents are all out of state, but we were able to give them viewing access to their photos so they receive cute daily photos of their grandkids learning and playing! You will not regret taking your children to Midtown KinderCare! 5-star teachers, facility, and management!

The director of KinderCare Midtown is excellent - always helps if any questions/concerns.The staff strive to make learning both fun and play-based for the children, and do a great job keeping parents updated throughout the day on the app.We have been happy with our experience at both the 2’s and preschool classrooms upstairs. They also have great facility with playgrounds for different age groups and an indoor gym for cold or rainy periods - huge plus.

Couldn’t imagine leaving. We used to live down the street from the location so we chose midtown Kindercare initially out of convenience. We moved 20 minutes away and decided to keep our 2 year old here because of the great education provided, the directors communication and especially the amazing teachers!!! My toddler loves the place. She runs in every morning. Also, my daughter is further along to being potty trained thanks to her dedicated teachers.I love the app they use. When I show my coworkers the Kindercare app with my child’s photos, food, nap, and potty updates, personal messages from teacher, etc they wish they got the same quality and communication from their child’s daycare. We are looking forward to our infant be joining the Kindercare family in December.Happy mom!

My husband and I were both a bit nervous about sending our 16 month old son to his first daycare, but the transition couldn't have been any smoother. The facility (inside and out) is absolutely clean and beautiful, the entire staff goes above and beyond, the children are fed a wide variety of snacks and meals, and they are constantly entertained with creative learning activities. I can't say enough good things about this place. We're so thankful to have them in the area!

The staff is wonderful - and the facility is beautiful! From our first visit, Amy (Center Director) has been warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating! The steps taken since the beginning of the Covid crisis have been comforting so I trust that my child is safe!

Amy and the entire staff have been nothing short of amazing to our two little ones. They are excited for school every day and come home happy to tell us all of the things they have learned. We have been to quite a few daycares and Midtown KinderCare is hands down our favorite.

They communicate, they're careful with your kids, and they care about their growth and development. Amy the director is flexible and will give you a call if anything happens during the day, and the food is high quality. Highly recommend.
