“Subhanallah, my husband and I actually came across this store by accident because we were leaving another meat store that had a long line and we didn’t want to wait in the cold. At first we were skeptical. If it’s your first time going it can be confusing. You go in through the big medal door. You just pull it and walk right into a slaughterhouse. It’s definitely cold and loud but overall pretty great. One of the guys walked us through the whole process and took his time advising us on what to get and asking how we wanted each part of the lamb cut. We ended up getting at 37.5lb baby lamb for around $300.”

“Our first time here, and everyone was so helpful. We bought a whole Sirloin (8 or 9 steaks) with the Brazilian top cut (8/9 steaks). The butcher sliced everything perfect for us. We also bought pork chops(8 beautiful ones), and 5 lbs Bacon.The cost was so reasonable and their meats were perfect looking. As soon as we got home, my husband cooked up some slices of beef sirloin and the taste was phenomenal! So good, melt in your mouth! First in quality, Flavor. Price!”

“I went to Bishr's after seeing Mr Chimetime's review. I'm a fried chicken snob and I have been disappointed soooo many times here in Metro Detroit. Not this time. The fried chicken was moist and tasty. It was well seasoned. The fries were cold which is to be expected as everything is precooked and in heating trays. I believe that the chicken tastes really moist and fresh because the meat isn't frozen since it's a poultry market. The price was also very reasonable.”

“What a great find. I just had the best steak I've ever had, and I have had a lot, being that I travel across North America for business and have eaten in some of the top steak houses in the country. I had a special day to celebrate, and I called them to have a couple of Wagyu NY strips cut to 2" - Ken was happy to help me out and they were amazing. I thought the price was a little high, but for a special occasion worth it. I will be going back. Thank you, Ken.”

“We order a small bucket of the heat and eat, and a 10lb bucket. It didn't take long for them to come either. They was pack really well and still frozen. Mannnn the heat and heat was so delicious right out the microwave ?. I went through the bucket two or three times, I did not find anything in it but clear water. When I cook them they were so delicious, they were so delicious .... I had to say it again lol. I am getting ready to do my second order for New Year. My husband can't wait. “I love this store. I have been shopping at Parkway since before they moved to their current location in the old Farmer Jack on Jefferson. The meat is top notch and at far cheaper and better than any place except maybe Eastern Market. They have actual butchers that can break down an animal and they do. Not everything is cheap.......like most stores. I shop most everywhere, Aldi, Kroger.... every week so I know the prices The owner is always getting deals like Triscuits for a buck a box NOT OUTDATED. I would drive to Rochester to see if I could find that deal there but heard traffic was backed up on Rochester Road. Meat people very helpful and present if you want something special or have a question. I have had a lot of special meat orders throughout the years. I also like the checkout people, fun and friendly. Not only has the service been outstanding, the knowledge of the owner Greg Ernst and his staff- the excellence of their product- the communication are simply excellent. They've been local and family owned for generations; integrity and transparency beyond reproach. Like many chefs I have to "deal with the Big Boys"- Sysco, US Foods, GFS etc. And frankly, I never had much use for any of of them per se. Ernst has performed brilliantly for me- and got product to me when The Big Boys could not- even though that lack of product was their mistake. I heartily endorse Ernst Hotel Supplies in all areas- Do yourselves a favor and make a call- you and your crew, your guests & your bottom line will not regret it.”
