Beautiful building. Worth a stop in if you are into art deco or staying at a nearby hotel. There are very good coffee places nearby. I recommend the audio tours you can find on trip advisor.
Staff was hit and miss. Once, friendly and accommodating , another time, curt when a wedding was being prepared for in the morning. (There were no signs, placards or any indication that there was no access to the ground floor areas, so it’s really not on the general public to know these things, is it?)
They have tours. Call ahead and get a guided tour or an audio tour from the internet

Its brick-colored coating and decorations are wonderful. You can go inside and take a tour of the lobby.

I looked in advance at what you could do in Detroit and the Guardian Building was recommended to me. And we weren't promised too much! We were only in the lobby, but it was really unique.
Highly recommended! Just go in and be amazed ?

Pretty amazing building, visually. The one-hour tour is more than with the price.

Spectacular art deco architecture with breathtaking Mayan Revival tile work and a beautiful mural of Michigan. The most beautiful building in Detroit. I try to visit every time I'm in the city. Tours can be booked.

The Guardian building is one of the art deco buildings in Downtown Detroit built in 1920s. It’s nicknamed as Cathedral of Finance. Entrance and visiting first floor is free and open to public. There is a guided tour to other floors of the building at every hour which takes 30 minutes and costs $6 per person. We arrived a bit late for the tour and did not have enough time to wait for the next one but we will try later.

I went for a job interview. The building's architecture and design inside is awe inspiring. I wanted to take photos, but I didn't want to look like a tourist. ?I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan and I'm Over 29++ and that was my first time inside that beautiful building. DETRIOT is beautiful & The Pride of the city was pride of a nation inside of not making it to the Superbowl. #DetroitLionsPride
