Beautiful venue but very little leg room and i am 5'4. Also we just saw The Thorn and the volume was uncomfortably loud causing me and others around us to have to plug our ears for 25% of the performance. The staff was amazing! Very helpful when trying to find ur seat. Food and drinks very expensive like a 15 oz bottle of water was like $7.

First time in Detroit to go see one of my favorite artists Gunna for his bittersweet tour and I was stunned by the theatre and how beautiful it is inside! ? I loved how the employees guide you to your seat. (Especially when you have social anxiety lol) The theatre is small enough that it doesn’t feel super overwhelming but still big enough that many people can attend. Drinks were pricey (like $25 for the drink pictured) but eh for one night I guess it’s fine. I would definitely return again though and enjoyed the show overall! ?❄️

The 3star rating is for the beauty of the building only. The concert I attended was not a good experience! The time of start was inaccurate. Fox staff gave a half baked announcement after abt half hour that performers asked to keep doors closed & not allow folks to enter due to having to perform sound check. Attendees were abt middle age & upward & had to stand in line once entered for over half hour. Apparently technical difficulties existed & unfortunately plagued performers throughout a great deal of the evening. The sound during Najee's performance was noticeably bad. To make things worse, the temperature in the theatre was freezing & the leg room in some of the mezzanine seating areas is very cramped (I'm 5'4")! At several times audience was left sitting in the dark with no onstage performance and no background music playing while musicians changed. At concert end, elevator was shut down (no notice) & concertgoers had to walk down several flights of stairs! Overall, it was not a good experience for a senior citizen.

Beautifule old venue. The acoustics are really good too. Plenty of paid parking close by, $20 or $30.

I am modifying a review i made from 5 years ago. I am upgrading my review lf the fox from 4 to 5 stars. We took my handicapped father to see Tim Allen and the amount of friendly and helpful staff made navigating through the crowd with a wheelchair unbelievably smooth. This made what could have been a stressful experience, purely delightful from start to end. Thank you.

We just went to Cirque Dreams Holidaze last night. The theater is just stunning! Great ushers..Very attentive and helpful. I just have one not so positive comment. The sound system was terrible. I couldn't even understand what was being said. I was just surprised that, with all the technology of today, it wouldn't have been better. It is, after all, a theater...sound quality would be very high on the list of importance, I'd think? Otherwise? Awesome!

We went to see the Nutcracker and all of the staff were very friendly. I haven't been there in years, but it was a pleasant experience.

One of the, if not the most beautiful theaters in the world. I’ve been to quite a few. Opulent beyond measure and pretty unique. I wish I could describe the exact style, but it’s pretty eclectic. Hints of art deco, colors like a peacock with turquoise, red, yellow, tons of gold leaf and marble. The architectural elements surrounding the entire interior of the theater are unbelievable. Small sculptures in every section of every part of every wall, large marble columns, dominate the main part of the theater. Hanging over the is a basket that looks like it belongs in the Phantom of the opera show. Draping red velvet curtains all over. The seats are smaller, from a time when people were smaller. I say, go on a diet eat less, but that’s another story. If you have a chance to attend the show there, you should. Any show. Arrive early so you have a chance to look around the lobby, then happily sit in your seat, or stand up and look around no matter where you look every time I see something new. I swear I posted this review about this place before.

Cool atmosphere inside the venue.Staff stated show would start right at 730pm and to not be late. People were still being seated in front of us at 741pm. Five dollars waters along with five dollar popcorn (small) await you inside. The illusionist show was amazing. The seating was okay for adults but definitely tougher at spots for kids.
