Dollar General Detroit offers everyday essentials at affordable prices from right around the corner. The store provides everyday low prices on frequently-needed items including food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal items, paper products and more. It sells tobacco, and customers can save even more with the myDG program and the app. The location originally operated as a Family Dollar, which was amazing, before transitioning to a Dollar General. The Dollar General was good when it first opened and for those initial months. However, as of June 2024, this Dollar General is going to trash. There is nothing on the shelves, they can't sell gift cards, and it is all a mess. Some customers express that they have no more love for the store and do not recommend it, though it might serve if someone is in a rush and needs something very badly. Conversely, the store receives praise for great customer service, with management noted as very helpful and welcoming for informing customers about the app to help them save.

Lock doors before closing time on 8-19-23. Gonna have to find a better Dollar General one to go to.That respect people time.

Great customer service! The manager Ebony was very helpful and welcoming…… she actually told me about the dollar general app to help me save! By far the best!
