Called and asked if they could deliver same day. Had me pay upfront before they would schedule me. All day passes and, of course, their truck “breaks down” but they promised delivery the next morning. I told them I went with them because they promised same day delivery and rain is in the forecast for the next day. Like clockwork, they call the next day and say they can’t deliver because the dirt is now mud. The one star is because they refunded me promptly. But if you’re in a time crunch, don’t bother.

I’ve been using DLS for a few years and the product is always exemplary. They have a great selection of dirts and mulch in varrying colors. The prices are fair & reasonable and they offer delivery in the city. Customer service, drivers, owners have always been respectful. Another great reason to use a local Detroit based company for all your gardening needs ?

I called these guys for some base material for a paver driveway project. They went above and beyond, showing up early in the morning and late in the evening to deliver material. They took my project personally, and made sure to fit me into their schedule every day so I could keep things moving. They also helped me dispose of a lot of old concrete, including a whole foundation I discovered unexpectedly. Good prices, good people. Awesome company that I will call any time I have a job in the area.

Just had a great experience at Detroit Landscape Supply. Its a little tricky to find (the entrance is a parking lot for semis) BUT Gil hooked us right up with a reasonably priced load of garden mix (50/50 topsoil & compost). Then he kindly let each of my boys take a turn driving with him around the giant parking lot, which totally made their day! ? Thanks you for above and beyond customer service

Excellent product and service -- really everything you would want out of a local company: kind owner, quick service, great mulch.Recently moved to Detroit and after using Detroit Landscape Supply once, I have found my mulch provider moving forward.

Pretty disappointed with a recent load of "compost." It was heavy with softball sized pieces of clay and a number of cement chunks, as well as various bits of trash. I'm thankful it went in a flower bed and not my vegetable garden...On top of that they charged $10 more per yard than competitors, and a higher delivery too.The only upside, and why i overpaid to begin with, was same day delivery.Will not be back.
