There is a reason why the store's rating is so low. Most of the complaints in these reviews surround the pharmacy's customer service. I have used it many times over the years with only slightly adequate results. Something is terribly wrong within the employee culture of this establishment as all the people that work there appear to be unenthused, irritated, and wishing to be home. The shelves throughout the store are usually only stocked at about 20 to 25% full with many important items regularly out of stock. Most every customer is met with suspicion and shown no sign of customer service training whatsoever. In the pharmacy, if you do receive any sort of professional customer service, it is never done with a smile or a hint of genuine concern for the customers health and well-being or let alone just a pleasant nature. I have; on a very few particular occasions, received some good service in the store but, it is certainly not the norm and those employees never seem to be there long. CVS corporate needs to take a serious look at what's happening there. It is my opinion and observation that this location may be on its way out and looking at closing its doors due to its low inventory in lack of quality employees.
Or simply because of its location, just off the campus of Wayne State University or its close proximity to the medical centers, it still manages to receive enough business that I can get away with setting such low standards for itself.
If you do go to this location the important thing to remember is to have very low expectations on how you'll be treated and what items you'll be able to find.

Went to pick up medication and the store had to be at 85 degrees inside of the store. How does CVS have no working AC. I felt I was going to pass out. Couldn't even wait to get my medication. Hopefully when I return to pick them up this issue is fixed. Very disappointed that a corporation this large would be operating in this manner.

Now that every other option is closed we tried CVS on E Warren again. So I decided to check the automated system to see if my script was ready, system couldn't find it. I called, and using the exact same info, the attendant found the prescription. I was told it was ready. I showed up 5 minutes later and was told it was not ready, it would be 20 minutes. Asked them to check my coverage in case it needed to be updated (had been a couple years) and was told I would need to go to another line. Walked out. Kept getting text messages every day about my script so I went to get it before it was canceled. I was told CVS does not have a contract with my provider CIGNA/Priority Health and I was offered a discounted price of $11. Paid it and left. Contacted my provider to locate alternate Pharmacy and my provider said CVS IS in network. Lied to TWICE for one prescription.

Maybe it’s just CVS in general but I have had nothing but issues with this pharmacy. Both with private and state insurance and just competency in general. And last time I checked, getting a text message telling me my medication is ready for pick up means I can come pick it up. Not be told that it’s on hold and that it will be an additional ten minutes for it to be filled.

If I could rate this CVS PHARMACY a zero I would. I’ve only been using since November and every time my prescription is lost and can’t be found. Avoid at all costs.

It would have been nice if the cashier had acknowledged me when I walked in, or even if the same cashier had stopped playing candy crush to cash me out. I know this because the sound was up high. This cashier did not even turn around to cash me out so I had to go to the self check out. I will never suggest this particular store to anyone.

CVS is my favorite department store the people that work there is very helpful and helping you out with that whatever you need and I love receiving the coupons they there they help save money Etc

I been in here when they were redoing the store and saw a giant size cockroach in med isle! Larger than normal, like a new York roach.
