I've lived here for 8 months at the time of writing. This is far and away the nicest place I've lived since moving to Detroit four years ago. TL;DR: The place is reasonably clean & quiet, it doesn't feel cheaply renovated, maintenance is handled well, management is responsive, and the neighborhood is reasonably quiet with good amenities. The grounds are kept reasonably clean, the apartments aren't falling apart the way you see many others around the city are, and maintenance has never been an issue. There are always issues with any rental, especially older buildings, but the issues here have been minor and have been handled so well that they aren't worth mentioning beyond that. I really can't stress it enough: I've been in various places while attending university, and all of them felt like they were just barely holding together, with at least one crippling issue (pipes freezing, showers breaking, mold issues,) cropping up every year. My apartment here doesn't do that. It doesn't feel like it could fall apart at any moment. They're low maintenance (on your end,) solid apartments.Management (especially Jeannette, who is on-site 5 days a week) has always been responsive to concerns & tries to be on top of things around the complex. The amenities in the neighborhood are worth mentioning: You've got two grocery stores just a block away, the Dequindre Cut is just a block away, and the Riverfront is easily reachable too. Downtown is a bit of a hike, but still perfectly doable. The area is reasonably quiet most nights, and your neighbors within the complex (from my experience) are too. The pool was renovated recently, at the time of writing. It's a good place to live.

My roommate and I just moved out of Central Park Apartment’s. This was our first apartment home since graduating from collage. I have nothing but terrific things to say about our stay at this complex. We moved in during the pandemic and the manager Jeannette was nothing short of amazing. We had a virtual tour of the community, since we were moving from out of state. She was kind, friendly, personable and extremely helpful through our entire move in process. We were not able to use some of the amenities like the pool during our stay, but I know Jeannette has been trying to get that fixed for years. We are sad we won’t be there to see it open next year, as the owners seemed to have put so much work into it. The washers and dryers were also touch and go, due to the pandemic and parts being on back order. Thankfully, there was a laundry mat across the street and we could still wash our clothes. We did have a package not show up here or there. But that was mostly due to the delivery people, either not delivering the package or delivering it to the wrong location. The package would typically show up eventually. My roommate and I have never felt unsafe at the complex. And if an issue did arise, Jeannette was always on top of it trying to resolve the issue as best and quickly as she could. The grounds are also awesome. So much green space for a big city. Our dog Rory loved it there, and will miss his run ins with Broadway her sweet dog that comes to work with her almost daily. Our jobs called for us to transfer, otherwise we would still be at Central Park.I’ll miss Jeannette, Broadway and this community.

I have lived here for two years now and really enjoy it! Living on the side of the park is really nice to look at as my "front yard." Jeannette has always been kind with me and have never had any serious issues with anything. Very affordable price for the location and compared to a lot of other apartments in the city. Would definitely recommend it!

I have lived here for several years and Have loved it.Central Park Apartments boasts a prime location, right in the heart of the city, with easy access to all the conveniences one could desire. The grounds and the lush greenery surrounding the property create a serene atmosphere that allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of the urban life. What truly sets Central Park Apartments apart is the incredible management team, with Jeannette at the helm. Their dedication to providing top-notch service and ensuring the utmost satisfaction of the residents is truly remarkable.I would come for a visit and see if its the right place for you.

First off, forget the pool. It hasn't worked in years, they worked on it for a month this summer, but it won't be up for years. The maintenance crew is awful. Never once was anything actually fixed. The floors are uneven and ugly. Everything was redone cheaply.Jeanette doesn't respond to phone calls or emails. Not worth the extravagant price.

I am currently a tenant here and recently opted to renew my lease for a second year. For the most part, I enjoy living here. Central Park Apartments has an excellent location, onsite parking, pet friendly...etc. but the main reason I decided to renew is because of the property management, Ms. Jennifer Evans. I appreciate all that she does. She is so helpful and returns my calls immediately. She has excellent people skills and knowledge of all faucets associated with property management. I believe she would be difficult to replace.

We have called Central Park home for the past 4 years. It has been a delight living here. First off, it is in a great location. You're a short walk to Eastern Market or Downtown. Plus, you're right by the Dequindre Cut, which is perfect for going for a nice walk, run or bike ride, with access to the Riverwalk. Central Park is sandwiched by two great grocery stores, Lafayette Foods and Rivertown Market, as well as some great Thai food at Bai Mai Thai. Secondly, the community is great. Lot's of friendly people, and most important to me, it's quiet. You're close enough to downtown without the loud noises of being too close. Also, it is a very pet friendly community, with many cats and dogs, with a very convenient dog park. Jeannette and the rest of the staff have been extremely kind and helpful during our stay. They have been quick to fix any issues with our apartment or address any complaint we may have had (although there were never many complaints). Overall, we have enjoyed our stay here the past 4 years, and will certainly miss our time living here!

Having rented apartments in Detroit for the past 10 year, I can easily say that Central Park has been the best experience. The location is perfect (especially with my two dogs) and the building and staff are excellent. Jeanette has been absolutely amazing to work with since day one. She has been communicative, easy to talk to, and always helpful. It's also nice to say hi to her dog Broadway when I swing by the office. This is by far the best place I've lived in Detroit and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place in the city, beautiful parks, and fantastic management.

Location is perfect but the better part of three years there’s been no pool or fully functional laundry. Sure would be nice, but the exact words of ownership are “these are amenities and nothing more, these are not guaranteed to work or be available.”

I have been living here for little over a year now and i feel at home with central park apartments. They are very nice inside and out and i feel safe in the community. There is a lot of police presence so it makes me feel good about being in the area. Normally, I'm the type to move around when i feel as though the place served its purpose for me but central park apartments is a beautiful place to live in and I plan on continuing my stay here for a while. The management is on point and they care about all their tenants. Broadway is literally the sweetest dog ever! If you're looking for a nice affordable place to stay i would definitely stay here!

Central Park Apartments is a great place to live! Really close to the Dequindre Cut, Meijer Rivertown Market, and downtown. Jeannette is an amazing property manager and is always really quick to respond and help out in any way she can.

I really enjoyed my two years living at Central Park Apartments. It was my first apartment and first time living on my own and I couldn't have asked for a better place. If I hadn't decided to take a big leap and try living overseas for a while, I'd still be there :)-Peaceful, quiet neighbors (99% of the time)- Responsive management- Safe area, gated parking- Maintenance requests were generally responded to in a timely manner (the bathtub was in need of an update, though)- Excellent location for walks to the river, Eastern Market, in/around downtown

Perfect first apartment! Could not have imagined anything better or more convenient for the last few years. Great, attentive, and responsive management; any and all issues were always addressed and fixed in a timely manner. As a young woman, I always felt safe with the added security measures that many other places don't offer. Overall my experience at Central Park Apartments was a great one, and I will sure miss this welcoming, safe, and homey apartment. And of course Broadway, too!
