I wish I could give zero stars. I’ve called the number on the back of the card over 50 times and no one has ever answered. I’ve waited up to 3 hours with the hold music playing and never once speaking with anyone. I’ve left countless voicemails. Even my providers have a difficult time getting ahold of them and now I’m being denied extremely necessary medical supplies because the company cannot get BCBSM to answer and confirm my benefits. I know it’s not the medical company’s fault because I’ve used them for years and never had an issue when I was with BCBS-AL. I wish I had any other option for health insurance. It’s beyond ridiculous.

Horrible service. I would do negative star, if it was possible.Stupid rules such asSame drug: gel is allowed, lotion is not allowed.80mg is not allowed, but 100mg is allowed.

I do not know how they pick who's in the network or not. They surely do not really care about my health. In this state it all hush hush about heavy metals and all kinds of exposures. You want to keep alive. You have to look out for yourself. After lasting a stroke from toxic poisons from PLating. Lead exposure grows thru out our lives. Social Security says I've had a Stoke and stage 3 kidney disease. Blue cross Blue Shield claim I have heart disease and other things i dont agree with. Their wasting the peoples money as I worked for them. The treatment of Chelation I paid for myself rather than to continue to have Stokes with lead posioning. It is just bad medicine.

I have spent months trying to find a primary care physician. Because the website doesn't allow you to search according to the location physicians actually work at, I've tried to google primary care providers near me. The doctors I've found are listed as primary care providers yet their website claims they are not. I have had a medical issue months yet have not been able to get proper treatment because I can't select a PCP. Calling customer service has also been useless. When I call customer service, I talk to several different people and ask them the same question: they all provide completely different answers. It seems like a bare minimum sort of expectation to be able to find a doctor and get basic answers about my medical care.

Terrible company...find another insurance!!! Outdated and they take way too long to process your claims. They do not have a web site or a fax number to upload information to get your claims paid faster. The claims department and authorization department do not communicate with each other. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

My plan with BCBSM is supposed to cover prenatal care 100%. I have received charges for almost $900 so far for a routine blood test, one visit with obstetrics, and 2 ultrasounds. When speaking with a customer service representative I was told that they "decided" not to cover certain charges, such as specific routine blood tests!!! My only recourse is to file an appeal, which will likely be denied. I cannot believe the cruelty, deception, and corruption that is allowed to run rampant in our healthcare system, with BCBSM being one of the worst culprits. This is shameful and it drives hardworking people to bankruptcy just to pay fraudulent health care bills. BCBSM should be ashamed.

Terrible. I chose the top tier medical insurance this year so as not to worry about medical costs. I wish you could get a refund for useless insurance. I have been calling for days, tried staying on hold, leaving several messages, calling different numbers, using the chat function with zero response. I cannot trust their preferred provider list as it is not updated, (which they said was the providers fault). So then I am supposed to call with provider's NPI numbers to ensure they are really in network, but no answer or response for a week. The providers themselves cannot confirm if they are in network. Meanwhile my insurance ends at the end of the month leaving me no time to actually make an appointment to use my insurance.Also, I printed out 2 EOBS on the website from the same date of service showing completely different amounts. Super confusing.

They discipline their customer service reps if they take more than 7 minutes in the bathroom. Many employees seemed to be terminated right after they got 5 years of seniority (and the extra vacation time and wage that comes with 5 years).You don't want to work here in customer service.

They deserve 0 star. They are absolutely unhelpful and irresponsible. Specifically the billing department and the claims department. Multiple times I wasted hours and hours on the phone with no one having an answer for me. They had no clear answer why my coverage was terminated without my knowledge or any warning and they do not take responsibility for their mistake unless you sue them. They outsources their customer support as well which makes it even more frustrating and pointless. No other way of contacting anyone and no information on the web on how to contact the right department when you need to. Forget about mailing they take a year to reply or the mail goes missing. Do not waste your time and money with this company.

One of the most poorly run companies in US history. I've been a member of both BCN and BCBS through employers for over a decade. The customer service is abysmal and surely is within the lowest quartile measuring customer satisfaction. The claims almost never go through without issue and need for appeal. Which drops you into the poor customer service experience. Most recently, I've called on two different occasions simply looking for information on a plan I am researching switching to, to ensure my doctor's participate. In both instances, I was stuck in a swirling vortex of doom, being transferred from one customer service group to Health Plan Advisors and back. 8 transfers per call just going back and forth. This company should be ashamed of the product they deliver to their customers. If you are lucky enough to not be forced into being a customer through your employer, avoid at all costs!

You took my money for 22 years from my employer and can’t help my daughter. She was involved in a car accident but you don’t cover. She needs to be in rehabilitation center, but they won’t take my insurance. I call but no one help. 22 years and no customer service.
