Beautiful hotel. Service was great from door entry to front desk. Nice amenities. Location was great for walking downtown Detroit and going to stadiums.

David assisted us with late night hospitality on Wednesday, 10/9. We really appreciate his attention to customer service and his pleasant personality! PS I love the new hotel setup and room redo! We also ate at Presley’s and had a wonderful meal!
Food and drinks: Presley’s very nice! Great food and drinks!

Wonderful Hotel! Beautifully restored historic building with the highest level of service. Elisha at the front desk took care of everything I needed! One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at of any city in the country.

Exceptional hotel. Perfect location, beautiful spaces, and the most comfortable beds. The suite had a great pull-out that was equally comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I have to give a special shout out to housekeeping; this was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in. Can’t wait to come back to the HDW!

Beautiful hotel in the center of Detroit. Huge room by NYC standards. Would stay here again.
Walkability: Contrary to what people told me about Detroit, the city is very walkable. The city is interesting in that it is very loud on weekends. Engines reving, people singing, a controlled mayhem. But I would have been disappointed by anything else. Detroit is Motown.

At first glance the hotel was great. We were in town to see Little River Band. The show was great. We returned at 11:00 to find no room service available. We walked around the block looking for options....It became scary. Im 6'5 and did not feel safe!
Our Bed ended up having such a depression in it, we bopth fought to climb out of the center all night.
The next morning, with little sleep, we went downstairs to the resturant. They sat us at a table covered in butter and jam, maybe even eggs? Two empty water glasses, all spotted up with a chalky redidue sat on the table.
The glasses remained empty and the table dirty for twenty minutes while we studied our options on YELP.
Keep in mind, there are no customers and maybe 6 or 7 vissible staff members avoiding eye contact with us.
We never talked with anyone, never were given coffee or water.
The hotel had an 11:00 check out and would not extend it when requested. Because we had to find food, it forced us to check out and again pay for parking down the street. Storing our lugage in a parking garage in that neighborhood was not an option for us.
We went to the Dime Store and had a great breakfast.
I stay at Autographs all the time. I will look into them more closley now that I had this experience.
Rooms: Worst bed I can remember
