Our room was spacious, and we had our own parking spot right in front of it. The inn's location is great; easy walking distance to downtown. Founders Brewing is close by. We felt safe. The owner, Mona, really aimed to please. Her breakfasts were delicious. Lots to do in Detroit; we're looking forward to returning. When we do, we'll stay at this wonderful inn.

Mona, the Innkeeper is simply fantastic! She caters to your every need. The property is a beautiful 150 year old house that makes a beautiful B&B. It is secure, clean, and historic. Just fantastic! Walking to Ford Field is a little over 5 minutes away. Highly, highly recommended.

Definitely far from what I expected for that kind of money. Will not recommend it to anyone. I asked for an ice bucket and received a Tupperware container full of ice. I said I refuse to text a photo of my credit cards… so she took a picture of them when I arrived and the texted them to me! So now photos of my credit cards are on her phone… no proof that they will be deleted. Room was poorly renovated. Breakfast was fruit ( given to me the night before because I had to leave at 7) and a muffin . Honestly… if I’d of paid half as much I’d still be unimpressed

This was the best dining experience I've had in a long time. Elegant, warm, food was superior. Prime rib melted in our mouths. Service: top rate. Very attentive and friendly. We plan on staying for a weekend this summer if restrictions allow

I visited this place for an outdoor concert. I didnt go into the bed n breakfast inn but from all appearances it seems like a quiet cozy spot. This is definitely the place to host a venue. Its places like this that makes Detroit famous!

This was a great place to "get away" to for rest and relaxation. We didn't have to leave our room for anything. We had a fabulous breakfast in bed and then a light snack. I would definitely come back again! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Me and my wife stayed at this location while watching green day at comerica park. The location is perfect 2 minutes walk from the park. Mona was very helpful and very kind. Such a nice lady. The breakfast was delicious and kindly dropped off by Mona. I will definitely be staying here again next time we are downtown. Thanks for a great stay Mona.

Had the pleasure of staying at 234 Winder St Inn during a business trip. This place is OUTSTANDING and a CLASS ACT for anyone who needs an excellent and finely designed B&B. Many thanks to Ms. Mona and her staff.

We stayed at the studio apartment off the back of the house over Valentine's Day. Since it's Covid we were unable to see the rest of the house, which looked beautiful from the outside. Mona was very nice and her communication was great. She had the electric fire on as well as a bottle of champagne and a bucket of ice in the kitchen.
We love old houses and tried to imagine what this back area was. The suite was laid out a little awkward with a trip to the bathroom from bed meaning a walk through the entire suite (not fun in the middle of the night). And there was no real mirror over the sink (the sink was located in its own large room).
Detroit is experiencing a very cold February and unfortunately, the suite was pretty drafty, especially in the kitchen and bedroom with the cold coming from the back door. The bedroom did have its own electric fire and a nice big blanket. The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was definitely the highlight. I don't know if the shrimp and grits and quiche were made in-house or not but they were both delicious with good coffee and fruit and pastries.
We can have fun in a paper bag so we did have a nice time but I wish I knew about the $41 in "hotel surcharges" before making my reservation. I would have explored other options. We just stayed at the Element in the Metropolitan the week before and it was $244 including all taxes and "visitor fees".
