I appreciate that they offered sedatives to help keep him calm so he could heal properly as well as pain meds. They were very well organized with their process, as well and I appreciate the calls to check up on him and when I had concerns. I would leave a voicemail and usually get a call back the same day. They are very busy but efficient and they seem like they do really care. I would recommend this place. Just go to the website and follow the instructions.”

“My new resue GSD did not like the first vet I found (he growled and had to be muzzled when I took him there). The 2nd Vet I took him to was older, and is very respected in Detroit, but he has horrible wait times, and does not really keep good records. My dog loved him and behaved PERFECTLY, but then my dog became sick, and the 4+ hour wait time each visit, plus the low/no real record keeping made it hard for me to keep up with his "treatments", and time wise, I just could NOT continue to wait for HOURS for no diagnosis. One of my neighbors recommended West Woodward, and I was able to get an appt within a week or so, and although Dr. John could not get records from my previous vet (nor could I), he made some recommendations and tried some treatments, and then figured out that my dog probably had EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insuffiency), a rare condition. The test was expensive, but not as expensive as some of the other test/guesses from the previous vet, and EPI is what my dog has. The treatment is simple, my dog LOVES the entire staff, and I truly appreciate the way the staff treats me and my dog. They are sensitive to pricing, and try to get me more economical pricing, and they love my dog. They are near my home, but even if I had to drive for an hour each way, I would continue to take my dog there. I really appreciate the staff, and the Doctors at West Woodward and will recommend them to EVERYONE I meet.”

“Above and beyond! If they treat their patients half as good as a stranger with a found cat than you are in great hands. We found ourselves in quite the predicament with a random cat, who wandered into our home, obviously missing her family. We called local veterinarian offices that happen to be closed on Wednesdays and then animal control in Hazel Park was unavailable. This office stepped up to the plate and helped me get this kitty scanned for a microchip! They even got me a cardboard carrier, so she just wasn’t a free range kitty in my car. Luckily, this beautiful cat was micro chipped and because of the effort this veterinarian team put in, we were able to reunite this cat with her mother. Thank you again for helping this awesome cat get home!!!”

I never feel as if I’m being pressured to do anything that isn’t necessary for the health of my pets. Often times if I just explain symptoms the Dr is able to diagnose immediately and accurately upon physical examination.We are patients at 3 different Vetrinary hospitals and for basic needs we always try Cambridge as our first option. “These are top notch vets. When you want the best, come here. They may not be the cheapest, but I know what's going on with my pet (they've seen my birds, rabbit, cats, etc. over the years) and why they're doing whatever test or treatment they're doing. They are not afraid to recommend out to specialists when necessary, as they aren't about their ego, but what is best for your pet. Fantastic bed side manner, very knowledgeable- just the whole package when you're looking for a good general practice vet. I haven't specified a particular vet, because I've seen them all, and each one was been equally compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. I almost hesitate to recommend them because they've been difficult to get into since before even before C-d hit, (and they do ask you to wait in your car and mask, even if vaccinated).”

They helped us and gave us closure as to what the cause and issues were. They walked us through every step of the way. They were patient and kind. All the ladies there, from the receptionist to the techs and the dr. They even handled a matter at the front desk ver professionally. There is no long wait. They have good practices in place to ensure everyone is safe and has their space. If we decide to have another pet, we will definitely go back there. Also, they are not money hungry like these other so-called veterinarian hospitals.”
