Closed like forever! What the heck? Probably loose it’s historic charm because this generation does not care about old things. Sad for Henry ford.
Safety: We got our car stereos robbed here I’m not kidding.

I have stayed here pre-covid and great stay … now I really question 1) housekeeping service was poor (e.g., unmade bed, towels on the floor upon returning to room), 2) only breakfast (buffet with powdered eggs) and 3) wanted to ship a package shared they could and then they can only provide pickup (ok no big deal, except they made into one arguing about what they could do and business center provided no value in packing). Sad. The manager is lazy and not particularly competent.

Great service. Rooms are clean and nice. The bathroom was small but I expect that since the hotel is historic. The hotel overall is beautiful.

It's just on the old side. Service is great. And the bar is nice too. It could use a bigger selection of alcohol tho.

The petty - front desk staff need some hospitality training – not the warmest of teams; my room key stopped working and when I asked for a new key was quizzed as to what I might have done rather than apologize or just hand me a new one.
Heating in the room didn’t work, bedding was cold to the touch, it was late, so I went with it for the night. Went to the front desk same staff “oh it’s because the weather has changed”. No apology. HUH! No as it turned out the engineer checked the room, his words “wow it is cold in here”, then he found out the heating was out in the boiler room. The engineer, super nice and friendly guy, delivered space heaters and apologized. Life is sometimes easy to fix.
The small house in the back smell damp, they really need aired out, the rooms for what you pay need some TLC (wallpaper pealing, rust on the toiletry stands; carpet rips here and there). The rooms have charm but if you intend to do work, they are short of available power sockets in ideal spots and lighting to compliment the lamps would be nice).
I would wait until changes are made before returning.

Reservation was for a king, but none were available at checkin so got a queen (which in typical hotel fashion was a twin) for two adult men. Everything is old and small, the walls are paper thin, there's an inch gap under our door to the hallway, ac is completely ineffective (in the winter), alarm clock went off at 6, housekeeping came banging at 7:30. Awful.

Our company is either providing coordination services for couples, lighting, sound, MC or DJ services at least 1-2x/month for different types of weddings and the staff in the hospitality and event sectors of Dearborn Inn have treated us like family from the beginning! Whether it’s touching base with us prior to certain moments of the reception, confirming food timings, or even having an extra chair - they make working the venue enjoyable, allowing us to fully focus on our services to the clients/couples/families.
A special shoutout to Julia (venue manager) Veronica, Mike , and Steve from A/V!
Cannot wait to be back throughout 2023!
