I came to get a Paint Pot for eyeshadow base. One of the MUA employees came up and ask me what I came in for and then they helped me pick a color. I went for Painterly. They also added it to my profile (I didn’t know we all have a Mac Profile! So next time I’ll know) Very fast and professional service. I will come back again. It’s inside Macys.

I frequent DTW and I have to say this is by far the cleanest, nicest airport I spend time in. Security always seems to be streamlined and I walk through in a breeze. In recent years I've never waited over 20 minutes to get through TSA- and that includes holidays! The set up is also great for pick ups and drop offs- rarely do I encounter traffic jams here. The McNamara terminal is huge with a great selection of restaurants/shops to kill time in. That being said, the North Terminal has also added some nice venues in recent years. While I used to dread North Terminal, it's actually cool especially if you're intimidated by the large size of McNamara (and Jolly Pumpkin will be coming there soon!) While McNamara does span 77 gates long, there are ample moving walks and an express train to get you from one end to the other quickly so you don't miss your connection. If I had to pick a spot for a layover, DTW would be it!

I liked this airport, everything was easy to get around and they had some really great food options. I was really impressed with how new and updated this airport was. More of an airport of the future than the others ones that I'd been in. They did a really nice job getting some new and exciting restaurants in with varying type and range of healthy items. That for sure is much appreciated. The airport itself was also very clean and the employees seemed pretty nice. It's also a plus when all of the flights you've ever had here are always on time. Maybe they are used to handling inclement weather but either way I do like it here.

'Ello chaps! Detroit Metro Airport is the area's only major airport, with significant service from all U.S. airlines and many international airlines such as Lufthansa. DTW is centrally located between downtown Detroit (30 minute drive) and many of the area's suburban communities such as Plymouth, Canton, Novi, Livonia, and Sterling Heights. This is Delta Airlines' second largest hub, in terms of operations and used significantly for Asia international routes. You'll also find significant service here from Spirit Airlines.

Fast friendly service. It's been 15 years since I've flown and things have certainly changed but everyone was so helpful and friendly. We made our way through luggage drop off then security. The security was innovative body scan that even caught a piece of candy in my pocket that I forgot about.

You have good days and you have bad days, just like anywhere, but in all it's the fastest airport security compared to any other major city. Food is expensive of course, it's the airport. There are reviews of specific places though, some are better than others. Parking has increased from 14-16$ over the last few months.

For years Detroit metro's airport was the joke of the Midwest. Those days of the LC Smith terminal and the Davies terminal are long gone. The newer McNamara and North terminal's are a shining example of how all newer terminals should be designed. The terminals are bright, modern with ultra wide walkways providing easy transit throughout the airport. Detroit Metro's straight line terminal design is easy to understand when looking for your gate or baggage claim. Too many of the newer terminals across the US have confusing designs with multiple meandering terminals attached with long corridors and transit trains accessed through stairwells on different levels. Quite often I have come off of an airplane at these new terminals not knowing if I should turn left or right to get to the right gate/terminal or to find my luggage. These other terminals are also quite often dark with narrow hallways providing commuter choke points and adding stress to commuters rushing to make their next flight. Another thing of note about Detroit metro is the easy access to and from the highways in the area to the departure and arrival areas of the airport. It usually is fairly easy to drive up to the terminals and drop people off or pick them up without much of a problem. Other airports I have seen are a disaster when trying to pick or drop folks off during peak times and holidays. The one area that could use a slight upgrade and is preventing a fifth star are the restaurant and store selection at Detroit Metro's airport. The restaurants and stores have definitely improved over the years with new ones coming online all the time but they are still a notch down from the restaurant and stores you see at other major airports. Overall Detroit metro is a very nice modern airport that provides Travelers with a comfortable environment and a bevy of choices for food and merchandise while in the terminal. Definitely one of the better airports in the nation

Growing up in Detroit, I've been going to DTW my whole life. I travel fairly often, but still have not been to an airport as nice as the McNamara terminal (which I believe is solely delta). The layout is great - it's one long line with a train at the top that picks up at either end. In the middle is where you check in, so baggage drop, and security, and baggage pick up (on the lower level). Today was my first time flying a different airline out of DTW and we ended up being in a different terminal. Although it's not as nice, it was still a great terminal with a good layout. The southwest check in was surprisingly fast, and the security check point was fast as well, despite the line! We arrived at the airport around 4:40 am on a Sunday and were at our gate by 5:15 AM. It's a fine place to have a layover in, but I think that the check in process for both terminals is a highlight.

No issues with security. typically quick to get through security. The restaurant employees are all paid minimum wage and hate what they're doing, aside from the bar servers. Easy to get in and get dropped off. Shuttles available to take you to car rentals. Decent airport overall.
