Went to get my oil changed the other day and they completely lied to me they said I needed a full synthetic oil change I said sure then they filled up my car with standard oil from a oil gun and they charged me for a full synthetic and on top of that they told me I can drive 6k miles but that would mess up my car Becuase the oil they put on my goes up to 3k

Ok there was something off about this place. I couldn't put my finger on it at first. They purposely showed me the oil I was getting and how it was sealed and that was fine but I needed a 6th quart and that was pulled from somewhere I don't know and the color did not match the original 5 qts it was much darker and not the golden brown like the sealed container they also had me turn engine on with the new oil but keep the old filter on. After it was mixed they then proceeded to put on the new filter after doing this, I know that this is not the correct procedure to do this, because you are essentially contaminating the new oil with the old. For this reason alone I would not recommend. But that 6th qts. Had me stumped because I didn't see where it came and there was no display that it came from a sealed container it was just poured from a shop jug. And it didn't match the sealed container product. Be wary and request sealed jugs of oil and make sure u watch them break seal and pour the same item. Price was fair, but I think they might be doing some shady stuff. To get the price cheaper than other service centers. It was way cheaper than other places for the same service all the other shops I got estimates from were about $30 more. Like I said something just seemed off. I felt like I was being razzel dazzled. There was a lot of staff moving around during service but they weren't really doin work it seemed more like a distraction.

I used to live right behind this place so I would come here often to get my oil changed. I always got full synthetic oil and didn't have any issues until one day I decided to get an oil change before a road trip to New Mexico. Things seemed normal just as every other time I got my oil changed here. Fast forward to 1:00am the following morning as I'm passing Des Moines, Iowa. My oil light goes on and my engine starts going insane. Luckily I was able to make it off of the exit ramp and pull into a gas station that was in front of a hotel. We were now stranded in Iowa. We had to call a mechanic the following day and pay to have the car towed. Once they got our car up there and diagnosed the issue, they told us that our oil was filled TWO QUARTS MORE THAN WHAT THE CAR TAKES. The cost of taking the engine apart and attempting a repair, or replacing the engine was almost more than the car was worth. We were now out of a car and forced to purchase a new vehicle at a dealership in Iowa. On top of that, we lost out on two nights of the house we had pre paid and booked a year in advance and the cost of towing the vehicle back to dearborn and paying for a lawyer to take this case to small claims court made it completely unworthy it. That being said, a word to the wise, take your vehicle to a more professional shop. It's not worth the money you save to have your car destroyed by people that don't take their responsibility seriously.
