DO NOT BUY YOUR SOIL OR MULCH HEREMy husband and I came into this store recently and had a horrible experience. We are both in the industry searching for a new nursery to help with our business. We had spent about $200 and I wish we didn’t. The lady up front was so kind and helpful, but the man in charge of the bags of dirt was rude and very confrontational over just one bag of soil.

I really hope district managers see this review! The majority of your staff is extremely racist. Only the new person working at the florist shop is very kind and was answering all my questions. However, your staff at the second building on the corner of Ford & Outer Drive was horrible. It was 5:40 PM (20 minutes before closing time), and there was a customer inside the building, however your staff ran to the door as I'm approaching to get in, he locked the door and ran back in!! I went around to a second set of doors, I walked in to ask a question regarding a specific hanging basket and wanted to make a purchase, that same team member looked at me and turned his face away and he stood there pretending I'm invisible! LOL, why work there if you don't like to talk to customers! I left him alone and proceeded to another team member who was already helping a customer, I waited till he finished and asked him for a 10-inch pot. He said that they don't have any plastic ones. I said it doesn't have to be plastic, any 10 inch decorative pot will do. He said that they don't have any that would match the one used for the hanging basket in my cart! I said: it doesn't have to match, and any will do. He said they don't have any! I requested him to point me in the direction where all the pots are. He did. I found tons of pots, all shapes, colors, and sizes. I am still in shock as to why they would act like this??? They both made me feel so uncomfortable and very unwelcomed. I was so sad! However, as I mentioned, the team member at the florist building was very professional. I really hope some sort of professional training gets conducted at this place. They have a beautiful inventory of plants and flowers, and their prices are very reasonable. However, I will NOT go there again for a VERY long time.

Needed some specific pruners, which they had. Also, one of the few official Proven Winners retail stores in Wayne County.

This establishment makes their money selling overpriced gift items that can be found at amazon or craft stores for a fraction of the price while working their employees to death for starvation wages. Management is very unorganized as well as racist and it shows. The employees are largely wonderful despite terrible treatment, I absolutely understand why they have such a high turnover rate. Never supporting them with my business again.

Buyer Beware: Many BugsPrices are insanely high. I decided after much thought I would spend the money on the perennials I wanted because of there size I would have mature plants in a shorter period of time. After looking at them closely the Blew Ribbon Lilly’s were loaded with spider mites and spider mite eggs as well as Japanese Beatles crawling on them and Blew Ribbon Shasta Daisies had Japanese Beatles. When I showed them to the staff they just didn’t seem to care. Thank god I didn’t put them in my flower garden expansion or I would be dealing with pests on everything.

Beautiful flower selections!Poor customer service.I came in on Wednesday. and selected flowers for delivery on Saturday,.I informed the employee the flowers were not for my home but for our HOA entrance. She advised me she still needed an address.MY SELECTION OF FLOWERS TOTALED$914.00. MY SELECTION of FLOWERS WERE NOT WATERED FROM WEDNESDAY UNTIL WE PLACED THEM IN THE GROUND ON SATURDAY .They had delivery issues and the manager had to delivery the flowers. He drove right pass my neighbor who was working in the dirt at our HOA entrance. He dropped the flowers off in my driveway. Nobody signed for them. He drove out of our entrance spoke to my neighbor he mentioned he just delivered flowers to my address. She informed him, we were in front waiting for the flowers. He didn’t appear to care and kept on driving. Our Snapdragons didn’t survive, HoweverSpeaking to the florist department. That individual didn’t think we were owed some type customer service courtesy.I thought perhaps the manager would reach out to me by now. However it is conceivable he wasn’t told about my dissatisfaction. It brings into question the culture of the employees is guided by the manager( who when informed by my neighbor the flowers belonged at the entrance) didn’t think he needed to correct his error. This is why I’m saying This location exhibited very poor customer service.

They're a little more expensive, but they had a great selection and the staff was very helpful.

0 customer service I walked in and there were 2 employees up front 1 of them looking at his phone he looked of at me as I entered the store and passed him and he back down at his phone no greeting from the young lady at the register either. Upon leaving the store there were 3 employees at the exit 2 at the registers and the same one with his phone and no one bothered to say have a nice day or anything. Not what I’m used to from English Gardens maybe the Dearborn store is a bad location certainly not an incentive to make a purchase. I received zero customer service.

Honestly, this is my favorite plant place for houseplants. Tellys is great too, but their stock is so unreliable imo. This is the best English gardens location too. I can always leave with a plant I have been wanting, or leave with a plant I have to come back for lol

I really like this store, and it has a really nice selection of plants. I bought a variety of things that were excellent in quality, however, at the store, I noticed that all the tomato plants I wanted to buy had septoria leaf spot and were insanely root bound. I bought them anyways because they were on sale, and an estimate of me untangling the roots and doing what I could to treat the septoria took about 30 minutes. I also bought Brussels sprouts that look really good but are again root-bound. Definitely check for signs on the containers before buying.

I was planning a memorial service from out of state. The florist gave me all the help I needed. I ordered family flowers and centerpiece arrangements sight unseen. The flowers we absolutely beautiful and much more than I expected. They took good care of us.

Bought a beautiful Frasier Fur tree...40% off. Fresh and symmetrical. This is our third tree from English Gardens and each one has been a winner!

I have shopped here for over 30 years. Always has pansies weeks before other garden stores. Smaller than others English Gardens so it is mainly plants and gardening stuff not clothes or decor. Staff is always friendly and give wonderful service.
