I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this cvs pharmacy. I come to this cvs to pick up medicine for my sick child and get treated horribly. I’ve been coming to this cvs for years and the past couple times i’ve had horrible experience’s everytime i just say maybe they are just having a bad day but no this is unacceptable. First of all the staff is so so rude and impatient they should not be working with sick patients! Train your staff better and not to yell and hang up in costumers faces on the phone! I am on hold for over 30 minutes just to be yelled at by some incompetent worker and than she shuts in my face. I get to the store and was told my perscription wasn’t ready and i’ll have to wait for it, this is after I WAITED FOR 45 MINUTES IN LINE JUST TO GET TO THE REGISTER! Maybe cvs should hire more competent staff that isn’t so slow and rude to sick patients.

Terrible customer service. Plenty of staff and nobody in the store but the pharmacy is closed during the day for lunch?!?!?!? Rotate shifts!!!! Sick baby at home and I have to wait for this staff for no good reason. I am horrified at this service. Will definitely be changing prescription location and will never shop here again.***update. When they finished their lunch my script wasn't ready which was called in last night. Wow I have no other words for this than terrible. And it's filthy! The card reader to pay was absolutely disgusting. Wipe your counters and common areas especially in a pharmacy.

This CVS rarely answers the phone-and when they do they’re impatient and have trouble answering basic questions. I try to use the CVS app and their automated system as much as I can, but sometimes I have to speak to a customer service representative. On Friday, October 13, 2023. I called the Dearborn Heights CVS on Beach Daly & Joy twice and then once the day before (Thursday)to confirm the vaccination appointments that I made online the day prior. CVS answered none of my three phone calls. When I arrived at CVS in Dearborn Heights at my scheduled appointment time for the shingles and Covid vaccinations, the head pharmacist told me that she did not see my Covid appointment and that I don’t need an appointment for the shingles vaccination. Therefore, I was denied the Covid vaccination but did receive the first shingles shot. Had they answered the phone like a normal business, I could have confirmed it over the phone and avoided this confusion and frustration. Next, when I tried to purchase my two prescriptions and gave them my passport. Both the pharmacist and the sales clerk asked me for another form of identification. I asked them why a passport wasn’t sufficient. After they stopped arguing amongst themselves, they told me they couldn’t get the numbers on my passport to work in their cash register/computer. They were finally able to input the numbers on my license. I will definitely be going to Rite Aid or Walgreens for both my second shingles shot and my Covid vaccinations. The only reason that I still patronize this CVS is because of the convenient location and the convenience of the drive-thru. However, the customer service is not good. In fact, most of the staff is bordering on rude and incompetent, and it is very frustrating. Poor management must be the reason why they don’t answer the customers’ phone calls. This is totally unacceptable.

I have always had a good experience with the Pharmacy until today 7/26/2023 6:35. The person who waited on me literally tossed my bag to me. Unacceptable, he does not ever need to wait on customers

Where to even begin, the pharmacist, Samia, requested my entire date of birth, in public, in front of everybody else in the pharmacy. That is personable identifiable information. I begrudgingly gave it and made a joke. The pharmacist did not smile. Then she asked for my ID. I gave it to her and joked that I promise I’m over the age of 18. Again she did not even smile. And I’m thinking, if you’ll ask about my id, which is the right thing to do, why make me announce my date of birth in public she gave me my prescription without any information about it. I had already been feeling discriminated against because I’m blind. They never had reminded me of my prescription refills, they did not offer a 90 day refill instead of 30 days, which would’ve been cheaper, and they don’t offer delivery. When I received the survey, I gave them a one star and said a smile goes a long way. samia, the pharmacist, replied and promised to take care of it herself. Unbeknownst to me, that was the very woman who discriminated against me. The following month, I received a reminder, surprise surprise. When I went to pick up the prescription, I was told my co-pay is $120, instead of the usual $10. I asked about Samia, she identified herself as the one. I will explore my legal options and decide how to handle this issue. I will also reach out to Cvs corporate office to address this matter. I don’t recommend you use this pharmacy. I mean, the woman have no ethics. When she replied to my survey, she didn’t apologize, she did not identify herself as the rude woman, instead, she retaliated against me. Now mind you, I believe this is all because I’m blind. I noticed her in the pharmacy talking with a man perfectly fine. It was just me. That’s my own opinion and perception, of course.

Absolutely terrible workers, the pharmacist herself was yelling at me over the phone. She hung up on me multiple times and was horrifyingly rude. If i can give this place 0 starts, i would.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I have been having prescriptions filled here for 35 years. They do not answer the phone, expect at least a 20 minute wait - if they even answer. If they are unable to fill your prescription - even if you have pnumonia they do NOT notify you. Even if your doctor writes a prescription for name brand - they change it to generic and then blame the doctor and say they called your doctor and they never called back - which is a total lie. I've called my doctor and they give me the date and time of the call - and low and behold CVS now finds it magically. But I had to do all the work and in the meantime I am out of medication. This is a horrible way to do business. If I was grading this pharmacy I would give them 20 percent - Fail. If I have one more problem with this pharmacy I am taking all my business away from CVS. My husband already has.

Hire pharmacy techs with better people skills because I got yelled at and talked over when I called about a missing prescription. I was told that my prescription would not be covered again until mid November even though I saw otherwise on the online account. After she was disrespectful and was absolutely no help something told me to check the account again and all of a sudden it'll be refilled next week. Sounds to me like I got yelled at for no reason and that I knew what I was talking about. As soon as I find another pharmacy I will be transferring my prescriptions. The gentleman that assisted me during my drive thru visit didn't do anything it was the person I spoke to over the phone. She has no patience and shouldn't be talking to the public.
