My friend and I brought in our daughters (7 and 8) to get their ears pierced. They both were very nervous, but the staff at A.K.A. made them feel so relaxed and even played Taylor Swift for them to help take their minds off of the piercing gun. Both girls left with huge smiles on their faces! Thank you, A.K.A!

Went with my wife, she needed more shampoo and conditioner. They only carried the medium size bottles and not the large.I know they cannot stock everything and every size! At least they had the special kind/type of product she wanted.

My hair means everything to me, so finding a good place to do my hair is a struggle. The first appointment I had made with them today was wonderful! The girls there are so great to talk to and they know exactly what they’re doing! It felt so nice in there and it gives very comfortable cozy vibes. We decided to give them another try and that's why we are changing our review. Monica is the best stylist that my son and I have had in town. So I went to AKA salon in Coopersville about a year ago. I ask for 4 inches off all the way around. The endgame is totally not what I asked for. I mean I’m not complaining now because my hair grew back, but honestly when someone says they want their hair cut a specific length, cut it that way. It’s not your hair to mess with. I go to salons trusting they know what they’re doing and how to cut it the length that I say I want.Service: Haircut

Couldn't get in for a few weeks and website wants you to reserve with a credit card but I have a gift card but doesnt say it will not charge you. Only there limited hours of service. No Saturdays anymore.

I have been going to AKA for several years. The longest I’ve ever gone to the same salon. Kathy is amazing! She slowly brought me into the world of hair coloring. Now I love my hair again!

This was my first time at this salon since moving to the city. I love the small town atmosphere here. Everyone was so welcoming and fun to talk to. Nicole did an amazing job on my haircut and coloring. I will definitely be back!

Haven't been in a while (my sister in law is a cosmetologist in Holland) but the times I went for a haircut I always enjoyed. I greatly appreciated the later hours when I was working 9-6 (who wants to waste vacation days on a haircut) and their professional service. My husband still goes to this salon and he always comes home looking super handsome.

I won't say who cut my hair but they did a terrible job. It took almost a year and a better stylist to fix my hair. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
