One of the worst internet providers hands down, you'd be better off building your own router out of rocks and sticks from your backyard. The only good part about the company is that sometimes you'll have barely functioning internet and the other times you're waiting for it to work again

I've had Frontier Internet for the past 12 years in rural Michigan. I've never had any trouble with my service. Any outages are quickly restored. I've never had any communication with customer service so I can't comment on that. I got a new modem a couple of years ago at no cost. Reliable internet.

Rural Internet service was very slow. Cost went up every year and when I cancelled after years of service they charged a $50 disconnect fee

Unequivocally the most unprofessional, rude, unhelpful Telecommunications company I have ever encountered in my entire adult life, and we dealt with Comcast/Xfinity earlier this year! We received absolutely no advance notice that a telecomm installations project was scheduled to begin in our neighborhood, Frontier also completely failed to secure the proper easement to perform said work on our property. When I attempted to obtain an email address or contact information regarding this situation. They hung up on me! Attempting to use their 1-800 or 1-888 automated customer service numbers was also completely worthless and unsuccessful, it is impossible to reach an agent unless you need tech support, are an existing customer or want to pay a bill. This company, should cease to exist. I will be doing everything in my power to make that a reality.

Tried for 4 days to disconnect my service was on hold 20minutes the first 3 times and no one answered 36 minutes the 4th time and then another 36 minutes to disconnect my service then they told me I would get a prorated bill even though I paid my bill on Dec 26th and in addition to that a $50 dollar restoking fee for the modem won't recommend this internet to anyone and the customer service is terrible like talking to idiots had to ask multiple times to disconnect our service .

Issue #1. Unstable Internet.I'm supposed to get 105 down and 10 up over multiple devices. The reality is that even with 1 device connected, and often at night, the connection almost never even approaches 105 and sits more around 40 on the high end. It can even dip as low as 10 down and 3 up and remain there for some time.Issue #2. Customer service/reliability.The app that they push you to use to handle your account has never once worked for me. It never shows my account balances or allows me to make any changes to my Internet or pay my bill. Which leads into whatever ridiculous issue has caused them to not be able to process payments on their end which has resulted in my Internet being cut off even tho autopay is setup. When I called customer service to resolve this they were rude and their solution involves me calling in every few days to reinstate the account even tho I'm not at fault.I don't have a choice in my area but to use Frontier so I'm stuck...If you can avoid it....PLEASE DO. Horrible company, horrible Internet

Terrible customer service! I set an appointment a week before installation date, which was set for the day before I moved into my new home. The tech's window was 1p-5p on a Friday to come and I was told he would call an hour before he was going to arrive, so I could be home and that he could come at 3:30p so I had time to get home from work. . He arrived at 11a (two hours before the window and 4.5hrs before the agreed time) and sent a "sorry we missed you" message before I even knew what was going on. The number to get a hold of the tech didn't work, so I called customer service and they said he'd come back between 3:30p-5p. 5pm rolls around and I hadn't gotten any calls or notifications, so I call customer service again. After being place on hold for 10 minutes while the rep looks into my account, she comes back and says, I see this was rescheduled for two weeks from now, because they want to make sure you won't have any service interruptions when they connect you. That didn't make any sense and was unacceptable, but the rep kept going in circles and telling me that "there's no problem, they'll be back in two weeks." I asked how to just cancel, and since nobody bothered to contact me to tell me and I needed connectivity sooner. She said I had to wait until Monday and talk to a loyalty rep to cancel. Early Monday morning, they call me to "reschedule the appointment for installation," and when I said how poor the service was on Friday, she made no attempt to rectify the situation and just said "ok, I'll cancel the service so nobody contacts you again.Long story short, Frontier is terrible. I contacted WOW Ways the same day and they are going to give me 1 Gig (vs 100mbps I would have gotten from Frontier), plus whole home Wi-fi and free tech service for the same price I was going to get my internet through Frontier. And I get setup in two days instead of two weeks. If you are looking for internet and can choose between Frontier and another service, get the other service. Especially if it's WOW Ways.

We’ve had it for 24 hoursish. It’s been nothing but bad. So frustrated and disappointed right now. It won’t stay working. I’ve had to shut it off at least 8 times to get it to work again.

Cancelled service, returned their modem. On the phone they want to tell us they never got the modem and asked us for the tracking number. Luckily we had it on hand. They then gave us credit for it. Just like dealing with Sprint, if you don't have a receipt you'll get charge for their equipment that does you no good without their service.

I chatted online with Frontier on March 25, 2023 for 48 minutes during which I asked at least 10 times that my DSL internet account be cancelled. Frontier did not cancel my account as requested. Instead they withdrew another automatic monthly payment from my bank on April 11. I called to complain on April 21, 2023. After being on the phone for 1 hour and 7 minutes, they finally closed my account, but said that I would be billed again in May for service that I had not used since March 27.

Ordered my service, (Fiber optic) was told they had to run a line to my house off the main line . So supposedly they ran the line, called the service tech to install in the house. He comes, calls me and says "You don't have a line". They NEVER ran the line. I complained, and it's literally been 2 months and still no cable laid. They push it off on "We contract a 3rd party to dig the lines". Well what an absolute joke . If you can't do your work, or guarantee the work gets done.... That's an absolute nightmare and proof of a terrible company. If you want internet, don't choose these guys. Absolutely terrible.

I was going to switch to Frontier and give them a shot.. However from day one they have shown their incompetence. They booked an appointment to install service and I took the day off work, when they got there they said they couldn't do it as the line hadn't been installed yet.So, I decided then to cancel the switch. Then they came out yesterday, 3 weeks after I canceled the install, to put in the underground. When they installed it they cut my current cable line and now I have no internet. Total cluster.......
