Comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a good location are the highlights of this hotel. Their free breakfast is good, but unfortunately the facility is showing it's age with musty smells in the lobby and on room floors. Their gym equipment is also showing it's age with rust present.

Edit: After speaking with the GM, he was very helpful in making our situation right. I still couldn’t stay here again but I really hope they can have an update to the hotel soon and take care of whatever the mold/mildew problem may be. The staff was friendly.No idea how anyone could give this place 5 stars. It’s gross. As soon as you walk in the lobby there’s an overwhelming smell of mildew and that carries right into the rooms. The carpets are stained, the light switches are dirty, the shower curtain is dirty, the curtains are broken and don’t close properly, the bathtub is old and stained and the worst thing was when I picked my pillow up the backside was filthy - likely makeup stains - which means they didn’t put on clean pillow cases and probably not clean sheets as there were hairs in the bed too. If you care about cleanliness, then you should not stay here.

Great service! Rooms could us an up date! Time and use showes ware and tare!! Carpet could use a good cleaning or replacement!The BK served just needs something new! Eggs lating in wetness!Location for a visit to my home townIs perfect! Would love to move back!!

This hotel was definitely worth the 4 stars it was reviewed at when I booked the room. The rooms were clean! SHOUT OUT TO THE HOUSEKEEPERS. the location was great! Like 10 minutes from everything! The hotel was nice! The guy in the kitchen today on 8/27/2023 was busting his buttt! So shout out to him. What I can’t give shoutouts to we’re the two guest service people. They were out of towels for the pool. They were out of quarters for the laundry. If you guys are out of towels, I’d expect them to do laundry in their spare time so that there were towels. The girl from last night was sitting around talking. The girl from this morning was nice though. Although you were still out of quarters. I guess working guest services I would have expected these girls to go above and beyond and there just simply wasn’t that.

We were very disappointed. We researched and the hotel seemingly had good ratings. But on arrival our room smelled awful. Like stale cigars/marijuana. Plus when we went to open the window to try to air it out the screen was missing.

The room we booked had lots of extra space. The sofa could have worked for another bed. Didn't really utilize all of things this place had to offer. Didn't check out until the check out time, which is unusual for us. The front desk was really slow compared to other Choice properties, and gave us the wrong password for the wifi. Once I had the correct password everything worked good.

Just traveling through with the Family for the night. So the hotel looked clean and for the most part was clean. The smell for me was an issue, it was a mix of chlorine and marijuana. We went to the pool that was open until 11pm but the door was locked and the person at the front desk knew it was broke and had to let us in. Also the weight room closed at 10pm which I always find annoying that the hours are limited. But the room was clean and did not smell. There were some worn spots and discoloration on the coach BUT the room was clean and we did get a good nights sleep.

Would not recommend at all. The room we were given smelled strongly of mildew, had a broken air conditioner, windows that did not fully seal, and spiderwebs in the room. The staff was friendly but even after being told we would not receive a refund for our 6 night stay, we left the same day we checked in and went somewhere else.

Comfort Suites have reimagined itself... and I like it! I stated at this hotel 13-16 July 2023. The double bed room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The room included a sitting area for four, a desk and chair, microwave, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, and full bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure my family and I had a fantastic family reunion! The hotel in located near Elk Brewery and more nearby amenities. It's about 20-35 minute from downtown Grand Rapids the home of Rosa Parks Circle and the President Gerald Ford Museum

Prices can sometimes be a little higher than other hotels in the chain BUT the rooms are VERY reasonably sized, most have large bathrooms, the staff is phenomenal, by far without a competition my favorite staff.That's coming from someone who practically lives in hotels due to work.I thought at first they didn't have irons and ironing boards (some don't, who travels with an f'in iron??) Anyway look behind the giant mirror, it's there with the board and closet, nifty.Only downside is the internet is not super reliable, not for business and meetings anyway. It really seems to hate Teams meetings, the daily reset doesn't help as it doesn't seem to be setup properly. I probably notice more than others as it's what I do for a career and even did some work there several years ago and recall similar issues due to poor network management.5 stars all day regardless, I'd love to know of any place that can offer better in the area because I don't think it exists.Oh I almost forgot, I've never had one noise issue there through weeks of stay.Rooms: Rooms are large, plenty of room. Bathrooms are sometimes bigger than they seem like that should be but I'm not complaining.Safety: Although it's not far from the freeway offramp, the hotel itself is down a somewhat secluded road, police presence is strong due to the ballpark but no crowds, even during ballgames it's quiet, peaceful, guests are respectful, I'd trust my kids here any time.

It's a comfortable and clean hotel. The breakfast was average. They canceled breakfast one of the days on our stay because the person that sets it up called in sick. I thought that was kind of a lame excuse. The room was comfortable and quite large.

My wife and I booked three days this week for a bike/golf trip. The hotel was excellent and very well staffed. Very clean and the staff was wonderfully nice. The rooms were perfectly sized to bring both bikes into our room and still have space to relax on a great couch. Bike paths were easily accessible from the hotel. Bypass the city prices and parking and book a room here!

This is a fine hotel to stay at. The staff are extremely accommodating and the pool and breakfast are well worth it. I am handicapped and was assisted with getting all of my gear out of the room by someone from the front desk, Mark. Also, we had an issue with our refrigerator in the room and Joseph, also from the front desk, helped us get it turned on. I highly recommend this hotel.
