I’m NEVER one to leave a review, especially a negative one but this place was the worst experience ever. And a huge waste of my time. Was in contact with the manager Kassy and Amber for well over a month locked in on a trailer, moved states and once I arrived in Michigan was told it isn’t ready AFTER I packed all my stuff and moved states, and paid a deposit they begged and rushed me for. Had to go a long time living out of another house and paying for a U-Haul for storage (luckily I had a place to stay). They lied multiple times about the issues and blamed it on “inspections”. Clearly homes weren’t approved for a reason bigger than mentioned. And the home we were set on wasn’t even ready. No AC, no shed, no approved inspection. Yet NOBODY told us this and we found out AFTER moving states. Communication here is AWFUL. Kassy the manager is rude and will never return a phone call. Nobody answers. All in all I backed out due to not being able to fathom how it would be renting here if an issue with my home arose. Can’t even professionally handle a sale, let alone an inconvenience to them. Go elsewhere. So many better options nearby.

I've lived here since May 2019. It was a good place at first. As management changes (which is quite frequently) this place has gotten worse. Yes it's a beautiful place with good neighbors. I've reported a leak from vent over my stove for almost a year. I saw maintenance put in the request, yet the park office has done nothing to fix the problem. It's a fire & safety hazard. They are constantly increasing rent with little to no information or contact. They never answer the phone unless you're interested in moving in or buying. Beware the only thing upscale about this place is how quick they are to want to evict you even before the grace period begins. Also it's not a safe place. There are police and shootings just like in the cities but the park always makes excuses.

Way, way too expensive for the trouble at this place. NOTHING fixed if you are a renter. Well water is HORRIBLE! Unchecked problems with kids of tenants! Check out an article by Macomb Daily about Yes Communities.

I've visited friends here. The park is peaceful and quiet. There is a nice beach area on the lake.

Save your money and go somewhere else please. Extremely high prices and strict rules for cheaply manufactured homes that are falling apart. Don't expect maintenance to come fix anything, even if you have exposed nails in your child's closet because the trims just falling off the wall due to poor Construction. Haven't drank the water since the first week we moved in because it comes out yellow or smelling like raw sewage regularly. Management said that's how the water is here . There's also a sewage retention Pond inside the park that regularly smells like a waste treatment facility because they don't take care of it. If you're even 3 days late for rent they file for an eviction, literally. The manager is one of the most abrasive and seemingly heartless people I've dealt with, any issue I've ever had to discuss with her I might as well have not even tried. Also keep in mind that pinewood on the Lakes is part of a corporate ownership, which includes other parks in the area. They don't care about you as a person, they want your money and they better hurry up and get it or they're evicting you. Finally if you think you're going to talk to somebody higher up and they're going to help you think again. I spent nearly 7 months trying to speak to a district manager about what was happening at the park only to be finally answered with the same textbook "we care but we're not going to help" answers I got from the office. Please people save your money and go somewhere that's not a corporation looking to just Harvest your bank account. At this point I'm worried about what they're going to do with my security deposit because I've heard bad stories from other people that left and had them confiscated for dumb stuff like dirty window sills or general wear and tear on a rental.. Don't waste your money!

This place is all about money and not community, they rent for a certain amount of time and then give 60 day notice to leave. There’s a family of four currently being put out so they can sell the home. One of the children has a heart condition. Parents have paid rent on time for five years. They have kept the home perfectly clean as well. Sad that a place like this really don’t care about good ppl .

I don't recommend moving to this community. The community manager will give you a notice for possession for non-payment of rent one day after the month has begun (THE SECOND OF THE MONTH) if she does not like you. We have until the fifth of the month before even being charged late fees typically. She abuses her power, absurdly yells at residents, and discriminates against you & harasses you if she does not like you (even if you have health disabilities like me). FYI, the manager doesn't like me because I forced the community to refund all the overage charges that they have charged me since I moved into my new unit, which were utility charges from before I got the keys to move into the property. Terrible community due to it's manager Kassi S. She needs to be trained or replaced ASAP.
