I went here to get my A/C fixed the staff was very friendly and nice. They fixed my Jeep in the same day and were honest about everything that needed to be done. I could not be happier. Thank you so much for everything.

Had to leave at least one start to post this...but, be assured, this business doesn't deserve even the one...best advice I can give is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.The two nice things that can be said is that the paint finish work performed by this shop is fairly good, and they are close to my home.That said, every other aspect of my repair experience was "worst of worst" including:1) Disgusting rudeness on the part of the owner, Kevin Pelkey, and Carol Pelkey, who handles the front desk. All the way NASTY.2) Lie after lie after lie about why the vehicle had poor bumper and trunk fit (and plenty of boorish declarations that "I HAVE OVER 40 YEARS IN THIS BUSINESS!!!") the FIRST time I went to pick it up on August 4th of 2023. I refused to take the vehicle at that time because the Bumper Cover and Trunk Lid obviously did not fit correctly. I have date-stamped pictures to share.3) On August 30th, owner called me and said "we figured out that the trunk lid which we purchased was defective", and promised that the vehicle would be ready on September 1. So...do the math here...it took him almost a month to determine that the parts were bad?? Really??? While I was paying full cost of rental car since August 23, the day the insurance company's $20/day rental coverage assistance ended?4) I picked up the car on September 1st. The trunk lid doesn't close properly, the collision warning and blind spot systems don't work at all, and the bumper cover is improperly fit, with ACTUAL WAVES in it. At this point, I'm cutting my losses, taking it to a Ford dealer, and putting this nightmare behind me. Honestly, I'll need a barf bag if I'm ever within 50 feet of Kevin and Carol Pelkey, the owners of this shop, ever again.I've been around awhile, and I know that anyone can make a mistake; I'm quick to forgive. But what's really at the heart of this is the absolutely rude, confrontational, and foul treatment that I received from Kevin and Carol Pelkey, the owners of Gil's Northwood Collision. I know they have a lot of local friends and family who patronize their shop, and maybe they treat them decently...can't be sure about that; all I can tell you is that they treated me horribly AND did a piss-poor job at the repair they were PAID IN ADVANCE BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO DO; and I'm telling everyone I know so that they don't have to go through what I did.AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID...if you drive a car built after 2013...go to your car brand's dealership; they have the skill, parts, and technical support to work on a modern vehicle and perform repairs properly.Service: Body & Trim

I brought my pickup up for some body work on very short notice, and they were able squeeze me in between jobs where other garages said they would not be able to do it.

Unfortunately, this has been one of my worst customer service experiences in my 55 years! While everyone seemed pleasant and professional upon my arrival, that All changed when I left. After No contact for 3 days, I made arrangements to have my work done @ B&B in Royal Oak (Excellent Shop!). Stopped by after 2.5 weeks had passed just to see what their reasoning was? Every excuse was offered up,( Busy, no reply on parts, computer problems, and more!) but the phone not working never came up. When asked why no attempt was made to contact me and if this was normal practice, all I was met with was a Blank Stare! Avoid this shop at any cost!!

I agree with all the 1 star ratings here. They are INCREDIBLY rude. I showed up for a quote and the guy was rude beyond understanding. I was excited about my new vehicle that had some damage on it and went here as my boss said he's enjoyed them. He walked out to the car and simply said , 'I'm not interested in your car' then walked away murmuring some other things... I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but seeing these reviews tell me this is just the norm. I guess good for him that they are busy enough to be jerks to people, and I get saying no to business you don't want, but to be a jerk about it is crazy. From the time I showed up to the time I drove add was roughly 45 seconds. Spend the extra 5 seconds to be polite about not being interested...

Brought what looked like a totaled vehicle at first to Kevin and carol there team had my car done in a matter of weeks it also looked better then before I even bought it I'd highly recommend Gil's north wood to any one needing inexpensive reliable quality work done to there vehicle

Repaired my son's 2008 Dodge and did an awesome job. Looks like new. Would definitely recommend this place.
