The coziness has changed since they expanded. Service was okay but not as great as I remember it. Food again was okay not five stars but okay. Place was empty when we first got there early but filled up with locals from church and probably the neighborhood. Biggest recommendation is to get back to that family friendly we know you're in the neighborhood feel, I didn't get that this time.

Nice small place. Service was great. The food was good, but I was just expecting a bigger portion... It was like two toasts you buy from the store and you put ingredients on top.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free available

It changed a lot since our first visit. Food was cold. Not authentic. Huevos Rancheros were skimpy and the Western Omelet was terrible. Sorry but we've had way better food.

An absolute gem in the neighborhood. The food, and the service, all amazing. The selection of choices on the menu, quite impressive. Definitely will be back.

Great place for a quick breakfast for both small and large groups. Bonus- they have adult beverages for those who enjoy one during brunch AND they have Mexican cokes! Yum!! Food is always good, service has always been wonderful.

We absolutely love DTC's, as there is something the entire family will eat (which is rare these days). The food, staff, atmosphere, and parking are top notch. Another hidden gem in Clawson!Parking: Plenty of free parking!

I overheard a staff member pinning the lack of dinner service to “the strikes” and the economy, but it doesn’t take a business consultant to begin the journey of introspection: the UAW strike and crazy inflation did not charge $15 to serve lukewarm shrimp and grits soup.

We had to give this place two tries, and I can tell that they’re working on things but there’s a long way to go. The first time we visited there was no clear seating system or host it was pretty messy; we ended up getting seated and had to leave after not getting service for ~15min. We re visited a few weeks later and were seated right away and the service was much better. Food was good; however I got the mimosa bar and my partner got the bloody bar, and when we went in to build our drinks all of the fruits and veggies were clearly left out for a while, smushy, and swarmed with bugs. I don’t think I would go back until there’s a bit more structure in place

I had an amazing time at Downtown Charlie's! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect, creating a delightful dining experience. What truly stood out, though, were the outstanding service provided by Lindsey and Craig. They were absolutely fantastic and made our visit exceptional. I can't wait to return for another enjoyable meal at Downtown Charlie's!

I expected better for the price. We ate breakfast. The poached eggs on top of the avocado toast were not warm; the hash browns with my omelette were not warm; the grits should be called "spicy Italian grits" -- it was polenta with a little bit of spice. The avocado was good.
