We only stayed one night, but it was pleasant. There were no surprises, which is exactly what I want from a hotel.The room was clean. The furniture looks like it was reasonably updated. Sheets and towels were clean. The bed and sheets were comfortable. There are some nice details as well, like the reading lights and USB ports at both sides of the bed.The staff were friendly, and we received text messages checking up on us at the beginning of our stay. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and free.I have no major criticisms. Troy (and Clawson) are not pedestrian-friendly, but that's not the hotel's fault. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth keeping in mind that the air conditioner is the smaller variety and they can be a little noisy. Ours was on the louder side, but it wasn't too bad and we slept just fine.The bathrooms are excellent. Like the room itself, they have been updated recently. The lights flanking the bathroom mirror are another nice touch - my fiancée found it very helpful when applying makeup. The shower is tall-person friendly, which is greatly appreciated.This is a hotel. It does its job well. It is comfortable, clean, quiet, and reasonably priced.Rooms: Recently updated with some nice touches, like reading lights and USB charging ports.

First coming into the hotel the welcoming was great they followed up the welcoming by text message making sure I was pleased with their services. Breakfast lay out was great hotel cleanliness was excellent. I would recommend and stay at the hotel againNearby activities: Great location to Nordstrom and Oakland mall with a variety of restaurants to choose from

Security is nonexistant. The back door was Zip tied open. The bolt on my room door did not line up and would not lock. Notified management, excuse was no maintenance man, and back door tended to slam.

I was hoping for more with this establishment. The doors slam so loudly! I was jolted awake multiple times by neighbors doors slamming and accidentally did it myself several times. I'm super mindful of staying quiet so to not disturb others and still managed to slam my dang door.The gym seemed disregarded... spider webs and bugs, both alive and dead. Front desk staff was kind and welcoming.

Amazing Hotel. Great staff and the newly renovated rooms are amazing! Truly enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning with the many great selections to choose from.

Night manager Chris Steffe was very helpful, CORDIAL and welcoming aside from me checking in while he was clearly very busy. Room was very clean. No awkward trim carpentry -like you see at other places- nice building layout, relaxing color themes would stay again.

I stay in hotels 300 days out the year for the last 5 years, worked for choice and Wyndham for 3 years.When I checked in, the guy at the front desk proceeded to Threaten us. That if we unplug anything. We would be charged, and if anything happened at all. We would be charged tones of money. Telling me i couldnt do this any that. I never felt so not welcomed at a hotel in my life. I wouldn't have stayed. But I just worked 14hrs. I just wanted to shower and eat. That guy should be trained the right way to address ppl. So unprofessional this guy was..

The front desk lady was so amazing to us when we were so tired, and I totally appreciated that. This is a very clean, nice hotel for a good price in a nice area.Safety: This is a very safe area.Noteworthy details: As I stated, the front desk person was very accommodating to us. She also gave us some food suggestions and a few other things in the area. We were here for a competition, so not a lot of time to really do anything else. The gym is nice as well.

I stay at hotels often while traveling for work & this hotel blew me away with its overall cleanliness! . Finally a hotel with clean linen, a comfortable bed , fresh towels that smell exceptionally clean & all staff I spoke with were extremely friendly I will stay here again. If your looking for a good hotel look no further.

The location is good as there are nearby restaurants and other things you basically need. The reception is also good as the check-in and checkout went smoothly. One thing that really spoiled my stay is that when I woke up early morning for a shower, I saw a lot of bugs/insects on the floor of the toilet and room entrance. I'm not familiar with this kind of bug but it may pose threat in the guest's health. It's unhygenic and needs improvement. These are some photos and video of the bugs.
