Worst veterinary experience ever. We took our 8 week old kittens in for a first checkup and shots and it took over two hours and a $390 on a two for one price. The vet was on a lunch when our appointment time was 3pm? It was only him and a office girl he was training. He poked one kitten so hard, it screamed in pain, and it took the girl 20 minutes to figure out our bill! And we were the only ones there! I wish I could give them a negative star.

Dr. Swartz really cares about my little Maltese. He actually called me to check on him after his visit when he was sick with a UTI. Nancy and the rest of the staff are great too!!!!

took our bearded dragon here because they could get us in sooner than our normal vet. i’ll never do it again tbh.to start, the vet handled my beardie extremely roughly. flipping upside down and holding him like that for minutes when they can’t breathe upside down.we went there because we thought our beardie was egg bound. all he did the whole time was talk about husbandry. he told us to get different lights and somehow that was supposed to fix the hard belly and lack of energy. even the vet tech said she felt something in the belly and said “it’s a good thing the x ray machine is up because we will likely have to get x rays.” instead we were told to bring back a fecal sample and paid $100. brought the sample back only to be told it’s gonna be another $80 to run it!! what was the $100 for?!?! to talk about husbandry?? that i could’ve googled??? some of the advice was iffy as well, being told to use tums in place of norma reptile calcium powder, don’t use uvb lights and instead get a heat and uvb bulb. on top of that, he said you should never hold your beardie ever. never touch them. never handle them. never let them run around. if they touch anything throw it out. like hello?? i understand washing your hands after handling them but never handling them ever because “they’re gross”??? i was in awe honestly.to top it all off, he somehow managed to be transphobic??? somehow the topic of people who use they/them pronouns came up and he commented on how ridiculous that is. how nobody is going to call people that. the funniest part is IM TRANS lmaoooooo. he just didn’t know that. it’s crazy what people will say when they don’t know who’s listening.either way, now i’m out $100 and i have to pay more to take him to our normal vet because the stomach has gotten harder and i’m not returning here ever.

**DO NOT TRUST THIS VET** I took my bearded dragon in to get a check up and address some concerns I had regarding her age and possible health issues. Mr. Shwartz was extremely rough with my senior bearded dragon, treating her as if she was a stuffed animal. At one point during the exam, he grabbed her by the tail and held her about 18 inches off the exam table jokingly asking “are you still with us” joking that she was dead. He then had her flipped over on her back and was poking her stomach repeatedly, as if she was a water balloon. He then performed an unnecessary enema on her, which enemas are known for being extremely dangerous for bearded dragons and are only to be used in emergency situations if impaction (intestinal blockage) is suspected. She was not impacted because she had just had a bowel movement right on his lap 10 min prior to that. He was extremely rough when inserting the tube through her rectum. He failed to warn me of the dangers of performing enemas on bearded dragons and acted like it was a normal practice. It was only until later that night that I read up on how dangerous enemas were. My lizard was overall healthy and still enjoying life before I brought her in for the exam and unfortunately has passed away not even 48 hours after being in his care. This man should not be a licensed vet and should not be a trusted source to care for animals. I would not recommend anybody take their pets to this poor excuse for a professional.

Terrible terrible vet. We took our bearded dragon there and he gave her an enema... one quick little google search shows you should NEVER do that and it is at most times fatal. Now our pet is dying and there is nothing we can do. We paid $250 to watch our bearded dragon die. Nothing was this serious before the vet visit. We are very sad and incredibly angry at this situation. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Dr Schwartz and his team really go above and beyond for their pets and pet parents. Today I had to say goodbye to my bearded dragon, and they truly helped me cope through my sadness. Dr Schwartz let me take my time and ask any possible questions I had. The vet techs were also very understanding and helped me more than I ever could have imagined. I felt silly for balling my eyes out over a lizard but they understood how I was feeling and reassured me I wasn’t alone. I could never thank them enough. Whenever I need a vet in the future, for a cat, dog, bearded dragon, whatever pet it may be, I will 100% bring my babies to Clarkston Veterinary Clinic.

This vet is the worst! If I could give him zero stars I would. I don't ever give reviews, but I felt this was absolutely necessary. We had to unfortunately put our dog down and he wouldn't let us touch our dog while he did the injection. He moved our dog around like a rag dog- pulling him by his skin, holding him like a pig with his legs and arms in the air. He just did not treat our family member with respect or love like we had hoped. Do yourself a favor, and find someplace else!

He was really ruff with my turtle ? who is sick with nemonia. He pulled on her neck, cut her nails and made her bleed. He was not friendly or compassionate and started telling inappropriate jokes. Stay away from this guy.?

I received 3 kittens on Memorial day weekends whose mom was hit by a car. Due to the holiday, kitten season, and many vets being backed up with appointments due to COVID - it was impossible to get them in anywhere. Clarkston Veterinary Clinic, however, were able to get them in within the next few days. I have taken them here for all their shots since then and their spay/neuters. Dr. Schwartz explained everything and answered every question I had. It is very clear that Dr. Schwartz has been practicing for a long time and is very knowledgeable. Him and the tech Brittany really made me feel comfortable having my little ones put under.

Scammed us in various ways up until they decided just to put my dog down when they didn't actually need to. Also accidentally killed my friends cat while treating a very simple and common illness.
