Great local store.

We'll start with the positives, the staff is friendly and generally pretty helpful. I like the store overall. It's convenient, local, and usually has good products for what I need. The negatives, a truck or Jeep with a lift kit and at least 33" tires would be recommended, if not needed, to get through the parking lot. Seriously, the parking lot is the worst pavement, if you even want to call it that anymore, that I've ever driven on. Major potholes all over the place. Also, if you're looking for a Big Green Egg dealer, I have no idea how BGE has them listed as a gold level dealer. The last several times I was in here, I don't think I saw a single BGE product in sight. But.... for most other purposes, this is a good store.

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful customer service. It was 5 minutes before they closed today, I was 5 minutes away from here and called looking for a pin for my children's bike trailer. The gentlemen (manager) was kind enough to stay open long enough to help me get one.

Doors were locked at 815 despite saying it opens at 730. Useless local store.

I agree they are no help, quit going and go to Ace Hardware. As soon as you walk in the door someone will ask you what you are looking for and can they help!

We had the best experience with Chris and Don! They were so helpful and had great advice with us new farmers! Definitely will choose this store over similar ones!

Lumberjack of St. Clair always has what I need for my projects at home. The staff is knowledgeable, present themselves professionally, and are always more than willing to assist you in finding items that you need, or suggesting feasible alternatives. I have been a customer for 3 years now, and will be for some time to come.

Yes, I was able to get what I needed, but the owner was not wearing a face covering. We talked about it for a while, and it didn't seem as though he plans on it. The sign on the door says "Must wear face mask to enter. NO EXCEPTIONS". But evidently it only applies to h ok s staff and customers. If I could have found what I was looking for anywhere else in St Clair, or if it hadn't been too late to go out of town, I would have walked right out. I won't be back. This was the OWNER behaving this way. He should be doing it to make his customers feel safe... plus it is the law.

This place is so cool. It is like the old hardware store I grew up with, John R Lumber. The people that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. If you ask for assistance with anything they don't huff and puff and roll their eyes like the big box stores. Prices aren't bad either. Thanks for being patient and understanding with people that don't know what they are talking about.

I quit going here. The staff makes you feel like you are a burden when you walk in the door. The staff pretty much sits behind the main desk and does nothing expect sit there with a smug look on their face. Not quite sure what the staff does all day? If it were my store I would have them ask the customers if there was anything that they could help them find?! It really is not that difficult of a question to ask, but no, the staff just sits there and looks at you when you walk in the door. I had paint made for me about a month ago and you would have though the staff member was cleaning a dirty toilet with a tooth brush the way they acted. They really are not friendly either. Most people need help when going to a hardware store. This store is an absolute joke and it starts with the manger that is there everyday that thinks he is Bob Villa. The store manager reminds me of a slack jawed yokel that does nothing. Save your time and support a good store. Go to Ace hardware.

Fair prices, but if you have them cut wood for you check the measurements. They cut my plywood to the wrong length

I just want to warn people, I went there to buy a part and the bin may have said $1.99 but that wasn't going to stop them from charging me $2.79. The girl insisted that the price had changed and they didn't have time to put up the new labels yet on the bins. I had to explain to her several times that the price on the shelf is the price, not the one in the register. #MIscannerlaw
