I just moved to Chelsea, from the Washington DC area where there are hundreds of vet choices. I admit I was a bit concerned that there were so few vets around here. My concerns vanished after I brought two of my dogs to Lane. The sensitivity, professionalism, and expertise are top notch. I look forward to years of care offered by Lane vets and techs.

I love this place. The staff is so kind and helpful. They really make sure my dog, Roxie, is well cared for and healthy.

I love going in here and seeing everybody's happy smiling faces including the pets and their moms and dads. Everyone here is so friendly and the vets are very experienced and do a wonderful job. I can't say enough good things about them. There is ample parking in their private lot and they will help you if you need it or if your pet needs assistance. They have a huge waiting room and the staff is very nice and friendly. They always have several people working all at once because they're so busy but they are never too busy to take care of your loving pet!!

My wife and I have been taking our dog to Lane Animal Hospital since we brought her home back in December 2017. We have an English Bulldog, so I wanted a vet that had experience with the breed. I spoke with staff members at several other vet offices, and no one could really quantify that they had experience with Bulldogs. Then I went to LAH and they were able to tell me how many Bulldogs they have on their roster, and they recommended Dr. Margaret Lane because she has the most experience with Bulldogs. Each of the staff members my wife and I have worked with have all been very friendly, as well as sympathetic to our questions and concerns. LAH can be expensive, but I look at it as they're being thorough. They also have helped us save money wherever possible. I've had dogs my whole life, and LAH is by far the best vet I've ever worked with. Without hesitation I would recommend them to anyone that wants their pet to get the best care available.

Love this place, and especially Dr. Holly. She took time to walk us through new pet info, made our dog feel at ease and was overall amazing. The front desk staff was super nice, and they even had a welcome sign for us as new patients. Highly recommend.

I loved working with Amy the groomer but the reception staff here was awful. I've been there with my dogs at least 6 times now and almost every visit has some ridiculous experience to go with it dealing with the receptionists. My dogs see another vet. Well my first visit, Lane didn't ask for vaccine proof so I didn't think to bring them but had no issues. On my second visit, spoke to a girl (I think named Megan?) who was SUPER rude about not having vaccine proof. My mistake for not knowing the drill yet but her attitude was really nasty. Now every visit to my vet, we get records sent over right away. I watched my vet's clinic manager fax over the updated records last time yet still got a call a few days later that my dog needed vaccines before coming. I asked them to contact my vet - they did and the clinic manager at my vet re-faxed them. The same manager told me she was laughing because they tried contacting them again less than a week later asking them for records. This time the manager told them to check their own records because they'd been sent twice and they suddenly found all the info during the phone call. I tried changing my appointment time once as well and the guy seemingly could not figure out how to look up when my appointment was. It took ages to reschedule. I got the passive aggressive speech for writing a check with a tip included in it as well that next visit and not telling the woman before she had already printed my receipt. She acted like adding a tip wasn't possible and she was doing me a huge favor for re-figuring the receipt when in reality, she was just not observant and didn't actually look at the check until I asked her if she put the extra money as a tip. Ugh! Almost not worth it anymore but we still love the grooming there. No experience with the doctors or other staff but not interested at all in finding out if they're as organized as the reception staff. I'm sorry but I swear I'm not exaggerating at all but being completely honest.

This is a nice facility and everyone who works there is very nice. The frustration from me and what I've gathered from other pet owners is that every time we bring our pet in in they " need" MULTIPLE shots. If I choose not to give my pet a unnecessary zillionth booster shot- they won't let the pet be groomed there. Long story short, I found another place in town that charges 1/2 the price for my pet to be groomed and we are very happy with them. Also, it is difficult to walk out if Lane without a gigantic bill- as well. Just do your research before you decide on a doctor for your pet!!!

This used to be my go to vet hospital, I'd gone here for nearly 40 years. Old doc lane was wonderful and docs tremper and bower. But the new regime has only one thing on their minds. Making money. They will not take your pet if you can not pay right then. And the fees are crazy. And they will suggest the most expensive way to work on your pet, one that didn't fix the problem but makes it so you have to keep coming back for more surgeries or treatments. I moved to dr marsh in Ann Arbor, she honestly cares more about the creature you bring in than how much money this is going to generate. Don't take your pet here if you love them. My Bichon came back to me after routine blood work with a pillow of blood under the skin of his chest . I was very distraught. The vet tech did it. I love my pets like my babies so I will never set foot in lanes again. Oh old doc lane must be turning over with the way things are. All the good old docs have retired, these new ones are awful.
