I recently started taking my best friend to Town & Country Animal Hospital. I just have to say how impressed I am already, and wish we would've found this vet clinic years ago!

The manager, Tom, will drop your pets as patients for questioning why an extra, not necessary, vaccine was given, without explanation. I made a vaccine appt. for my dog and asked for 1 specific vaccine to be given, as that is all that was due, she was seen by the doctor just the month prior and we discussed vaccines and what was due. I was told she would need to come back in 1month for the 1 specific vaccine I scheduled the appt. for and told them that is all she needed when I scheduled it, as my mom would be bringing the dog in for me, as I was working, and they said that was ok. The tech came in and gave the dog multiple vaccines and an oral vaccine. The cost was double what it should have been because she was given 2 extra vaccines, Bordetella- unnecessary because she doesn't get boreded or around other dogs and that was discussed with the vet the month prior and she agreed. The other unnecessary vaccine she was given was DAPP/CORONA, which I was told it was a 4 dose series and she had her 4th dose just the month prior. So when I questioned, why she was given the extra vaccines, all Tom could tell me is that is what the doctor recommended and I told him I felt like someone has lied to me since the doctor did not tell me that last month and the gal on the phone when I called said she was up to date on that prior to the vaccine appt. His response was we will send you your records and good luck with your pets and future vet. Just beware of extra unnecessary charges!

Great for routine shots but anything else, avoid this place like the plage, my dog broke his leg, they put him down, several years later my dog gets Pyometra infection in her baby maker, these guys give me antibiotics, they offer to put her down and when I refused, they tell me good luck over the weekend, not only did i keep my dog alive over the weekend, but i kept her alive for another 4 weeks to be taken to the Rochester hills humain society, where with a $400 grant from the red rover foundation, i was able to get the Pyometra cyst removed as well as the baby making parts and my fur baby was able to walk out the same day, tail high in the air and a smile in her face, 3 years later shes still bouncing off the walls ?, do yourself a favor and avoid the dr's of death here at all cost

They were good at getting my dog in right away, the vet was very nice. My sister was more able to diagnose the issue with my dog, i told them on the phone she was licking her hoo hoo a lot, so when my husband took her in they expressed her butt hole and cut her toenails? Never looked at her hoo hoo at all, then had to take her back for urine sample, they said there was nothing wrong. I had to take her back again for the licking, she wanted to express her butt hole again, i said no, you have to flip her over and look at her hoo hoo, come to find out..bacteria infection. The bill was 126.00, but they charged me for the unnecessary urine sample, so 178.00 later? So that and the 125 they charged my husband for anal expression and toe nail clipping. long story short they are horrible, wish my vets hadn't closed! I will never go back, bad feeling from the get go!

We live right around the corner and for years now every time we call for ANYTHING, we can NEVER NEVER get in for days. We just called because 3 week old puppies with diarea, been hand feeding because mom passed away from an infection, and they told us 2 days before we could get in. Even when we need just a shot it's days to get in. We give up with them
