Be knowledgeable on new Michigan tax laws prior to going in. It would have cost us over $3000 if we would have stayed with them. There is an option for police, fire, troopers, and county corrections public pension to be exempt from state taxes in 2023. One option on form 4884 where you put your 1099r on. There is two optons on form first one with police, fire, etc regardless of age and second one reference age brackets.

Ben was so nice and very helpful. From the second I called to explain what I needed help with to the moment I walked out the door once we were finished. He was very informative, nice to talk to, patient. Very very patient. Also very reasonable costs. We will definitely use them again for our tax needs.
