I love this family owned and operated outdoor clothing store. They have premium clothes, shoes and accessories. Of course with premium clothes come premium pricing but it's nice to have quality products in a small town.

Best clothing store for all age groups friendliest staff. will do anything to make you more satisfied and they will cater to your needs. When they only accepted cash for the day when I came in staff was extremely apologetic and made it very clear before we even came in to the store that they were only accepting cash and had multiple signs in the store as well just so nobody could miss it very attentive staff. and owners are super nice even when addressing negative reviews about a employee that is no longer under their employment overall great experience and great selection of clothes and shoes!

Love stopping by Round Lake Outfitters when I’m Charlevoix. Great selection and range of sizes. Especially loving the Unsalted clothing line. This is a friendly family run business!I truly feel horrible for the child that was yelled at and understand the family’s concern mentioned in the negative reviews. Thankfully, the individual mentioned is no longer with the store (and hasn’t been for quite some time). She was an employee and not the owner or a member of the family.

Stopped here as an out-of-towner after seeing a nice NorthFace windbreaker/rain jacket in the window. The owner(s) and staff that I spoke with were very nice and the prices were competitive with those online. Would recommend shopping here and I felt like the experience/pricing were sufficient for me to feel justified in supporting a local business. Supposedly the several other negative reviews regarding the same experience over a spilled drink were in relation to a lady who no longer works there nor were those people even patrons of the business. Bizarre occurrence and gross that an entire family would denigrate someone’s livelihood so harshly. I only asked because I couldn’t imagine having the same experience with the staff who greeted me.

By FAR, the RUDEST person I have EVER encountered works here. She felt the need to scream at a little girl for accidentally spilling a few drops of a drink outside of her shop. She then proceeded to have a yelling match with the parent of said little girl outside of the shop creating a public scene. Such a horrible person. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER give your business to Round Lake Outfitters. Go anywhere else.

Great place to get all the gear you need to adventure northern Michigan. Have purchased many high quality, durable products that I have had for years. The staff is very helpful in finding the products my family and I need to have a great time in northern Michigan.

To be an owner of a store and to SCREAM at a little girl for spilling a drink (outside of the store at that) because of your fear of the Corona virus is reprehensible. If you are that fearful of the Corona virus, close the doors on your freaking store and stay home and quarantine yourself. Recommend to all who read this to take your dollars elsewhere.

I have grown up coming to Charlevoix my entire life and have never had a huge major problem with the people there. However, July 4 2020 I had a much different experience. My family & I were shopping at the different shops & decided to go into Round Lake Outfitters (a mistake). From the moment we walked in, my cousin & I immediately got a bad vibe from the lady working there. She was sorta glaring at us in a weird rude way (can’t do much about that though). Anyway, my little cousin (10 years of age) was with us as well along with her mother and older sister. The 10 year old had a glass bottle of soda. In attempt to save the other half of it for dinner, she tried to screw on her bottle cap. She then walked OUTSIDE of the store and tipped it over a little bit to make sure it was shut all the way. I want to stress this again. She did this OUTSIDE the shop on the sidewalk. 3 drops fell on the concrete OUTSIDE then shop. The lady who was working at RLO at the time immediately jumped from where she was slitting and started yelling at my little cousin. She then stomped over to the door & walked outside & started aggressively spraying the sidewalk very passive aggressively. Due to her rude behavior, we walked out & said that was ridiculous. I guess that really offended the lady a lot? The lady then (VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY) started making a huge scene outside by the store front & was yelling at my aunt who was defending my little cousin was in tears. The lady then stated accusing my lil cousin & was telling her to tell her mom that’s she spilled her drink on purpose. Again, VERY unprofessional. This lady kept going on & on for quite a while. My aunt then asked if it make her (the lady working at RLO) happy to tear down a little kid the way she was, and her response was, “well yes. Yes it does make me quite happy.” Sickening. What kind of messed up person finds joy in that. It’s terrible. I will never be stepping foot inside RLO again. However, Charlevoix Wear next door is a fantastic shop. Very welcoming and comforting. When they saw my little cousin crying, the man in the store gave her a free set of Charlevoix stickers and apologized on behalf of the lady next door. He then assured us that Charlevoix as a whole isn’t like that. CHARLEVOIX WEAR FOR THE WIN!
