Had trouble with carriers not closing mailbox (during warm months)and leaving burnouts in driveway from which I live on a straightaway. Most encounters at main office have been respectful but the Ishpeming post office manager said that they're willing to give someone leeway but they cannot hold my mail. According to post office policy they are supposed to hold someone's mail for no more than 30 days. This is not the case at the Ishpeming post. I was in once every 2 to 3 weeks for 2 months and evidently that was enough consideration to be made. They are federally subsidized?. I have a box at UPS now:)

Take the time and go to Ishpeming. The Ishpeming office is polite, friendly, wear approved postal uniforms and are open the majority of the day. None of these apply in Champion.

The best Post Office in the area. You will find it further west on 41 past Main street.
