“Friendly, friendly staff with some terrific gems for all kinds of buyers. Someone had good art and photography books, great collections of vintage clothing, drinkware. A bit hard to find with Google Maps.”
“She did a wonderful job altering my wedding dress for me! She was able to alter the lace top and sleeves so that it fit me perfectly, and added the perfect bustle for dancing. Would highly recommend bringing a wedding dress here!”

“I had the most wonderful experience checking out this quaint and wonderfully curated vintage store a few weeks ago. Gina was so personable and helped me find the perfect gift for a friend. Highly recommend this place and will be back for sure!”
“The best vintage store in Detroit area. Find great vintage clothes and chat with Joanna about just about anything!!! For a special treat stop by Sunday and meet her beautiful and intelligent pet rats. No! Rats aren’t scary or dangerous! They are beautiful and smart and cuddly and fun. This is Fiona and Eleanor!”
“Was reminded yesterday how wonderful this place is after a few years of not visiting. Reasonable prices, good quality and really made me nostalgic for how vintage stores used to be before they got crazy expensive in the last 10 years and filled with old forever 21 pieces. Got my dress last minute for a wedding and grateful that there are still local brick and mortar shops like this!!!”
“Great eccentric collection of Detroit, and Michigan memorabilia. Tons of custom things they make for the store, and can even take requests for custom items too. Highly recommended!!”

11526 E 10 Mile Rd, Warren“Byron's resale shop is absolutely without a doubt the cleanest resale shop I have ever visited. Byron himself is a class act, top shelf stand up guy and is not afraid of a good haggle on prices. Go see !!”
“Decided to take my daughter to her first ever visit to a consignment store. This one is a very nice consignment store. Very friendly. And good selection with good prices. The industrial feel with the color coordinated rack and smaller items on the center table really made the experience of trying to find something much easier. Talking to the woman at the desk, we learned that this store was once at Eastern Market and was relocated to this area of Grand Blvd. Thank you for having such a welcoming environment.”
“Absolutely and amazing vintage store. Hands down one of my favorite places to shop Amanda is amazing give her five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ super knowledgeable!!! And for you ladies Andrew will be working the counter bring him some hot cinnamon nuts ? he will be at your service ⭐”
“Super cute store of unique handmade items. And let me tell you, they killed it during the Lions playoff run with taking orders for shirts!! Extremely nice staff also. Support this fabulous small business!”
“I always find great staple pieces here that have affordable pricing!! Everyone who works here is also very friendly and cares about their business and Ferndale I love to see it.”
“Today I stopped into ModMart and had an AWESOME experience. I was blown away with the assortment of Midcentury furniture and decor. So many beautiful pieces. They have lighting, seating, tables.. you name it. Michelle was so knowledge, helpful and friendly. The shop is seriously so beautifully curated. I can't wait to be back and visit again and again!!! I highly recommend stopping in!!!”
“My Mom and I have been coming to Samira's for years ❤️ Samira's has the best fashion's , quality, and highend labels, and great sales . We love the comfortable environment and Samira herself is absolutely fabulous,, love her!!”
“Hiptique is your number one resale destination because the owner Nikki is an amazing human being. Who really cares about your happiness. She has a keen instinct for styling clients and an eye for upcoming trends.”
“Hey guys dropping in for some QTNA, I just spoke with Tania and she was so helpful! Yes, Detroit Closet does buy shoes, clothes and accessories from 1-3pm on weekends. On weekdays it depends on how long they will buy but it’s based off their budget for the day. They open at 12 noon and close around 6pm. Hope this helps bc it helped me!”
“I came here once several years ago. I was treated so kindly and given a fair pawn amount. Later when I came to pick up my item I bought several pieces of jewelry. I felt like a human and not a way to just make money off me as a customer. I always return here periodically, just because :)”
“We love Maria's estate sales on site or in store. Great merchandise and fair pricing and Maria and her crew always give top-notch customer service. We love her sales.”
“What a Gem. First time here and I was greeted by Cathy. Just amazing. I love it and she told me about the store in Grosse Pointe I have to go check it out. so many wonderful little things. Very fair prices. I definitely will be back. I was told to go on Facebook and make an appointment if you have things that you want to sell at the store.”
“Amazing selection and great deals. Very organized for the amount of product they have. Be prepared to wait a chunk of time on the weekends as it is clearly a very popular spot. They seem to be a bit understaffed but the men working at checkout were very friendly and polite and it’s not their fault if the place is understaffed!”

“I love this store! This location is the “spot” too. I can’t even tell you the deals I’ve gotten on Victoria Secret bras, comfy hoodies, North Face, Hollister, Aero, & American Eagle to name a few! Moving up here from the south 5 years ago, needless to say my winter clothing was limited… but the first time hitting this place up I got a CK coat, converse shoes, 2 pairs of Levi’s jeans, 3 hoodies, and a gorgeous Victoria Secret bra (looked brand new) for $70! So yeah people, please don’t sleep on this store!! This Clinton Township location in particular!! . You can sign up for text messages & when they have their 50% off weekends they send you a text.… thrift stores are life! Value World is good place to score some signature pieces! The staff has always been very helpful and pleasant to boot!!”
“This is the *good* value world, to me. I'm hesitant to hype it up too much because I don't want clothes shopping competition, haha. If you're alt and like DIY, or if you're plus sized, this has the superior selection for all of that. I've never not found exactly what I'm looking for here.”
“Love this store pretty much has everything I wanted and more .. wish I had more time to go through the entire store but I will definitely come back and the cashiers are so sweet and friendly.. Kevin was so accommodating and helpful. The only thing I wish they had done was place somewhat of a fitting room ! I am disabled so it was difficult for me to change in front of the only other mirror by the employee door where I was standing in the way and blocking their way to the door. Trying things on is exhausting and not having actual place to try it on and sit down makes it even more difficult..I’m not sure why there is no fitting room but it would be an easy fix if you guys take that into consideration with some simple steps like adding curtains and mirrors attached in a corner with some benches but if not that’s fine too I guess .”
“We always get great buyback offers for the older kids to spend on new things. A few things seem a little over-priced, but still well under the cost of buying new.”
“I enjoy my visits to this location even just to browse. Pricing can be a bit scattershot (scatterbrained) but doable. I’ve definitely been to better which reinforces my 4star rating but nothing offensive overall.”
“It’s a fairly big Salvation Army. I found a pair of nearly new Banana Republic Pants (retail $80) for $5. Each section is a good size. It seems like the changing rooms are never open though which I don’t want to have to go home and try on and bring back if it doesn’t work.”
“I never write reviews, but as a single dad of teenage girls, I feel I got more help from here than I do at any other store I've ever been to. I felt the staff was friendly and very helpful, it is different - like they all want to be there. Here is an example, I do not know current style, brands, or prices and I needed school clothes for my daughters and my neighbor recommended Plato's. They helped me pick out clothes - mostly tops and some shoes and accessories. I've since been back not only to buy clothes, but to sell them. They did not buy all the clothes we had, but they did my most of them. I felt the staff was polite and the clothes they had were relevant - my kids like the styles I bought them. We all know how picky teenage girls can be.”
“I have purchased clothing for myself, my 2 children and my husband from the Salvation Army for over 20 years. Our son, now nearly 20, will only shop at Salvation Army for his own clothes. Daughter, just over 21, only shops retail. She then gets depressed when she sees the same items at Salvation Army a few months (or a year) later! My 4 favorite Salvation Army stores are the one on Van Dyke in Centerline, the one on Dodge Park in Sterling Heights, the one on Gratiot in Roseville and the one on Harper and 13 Mile in St Clair Shores. They are close to my house and well taken care of. They are always clean. I prefer buying second hand items. It saves the landfills for awhile.”
