“First off let me say this place is absolutely amazing!!! Steve is the mechanic here. He sure does know his stuff! Ever since my boyfriend recommended me to Steve I have been coming here!! I have definitely saved a ton of money by going here. Before he moved here he was over at Vandyke Collision at 9 and Vandyke and I would drive all the way from Ferndale to bring my car to him to fix. He's a very very honest person. He won't rip you off like many other mechanic shops. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic Steves your guy!!! I still gladly drive to Eastpointe when my car needs service! If I could rate them more than 5 stars I certainly would!!”

“I moved to the area recently and wanted to not deal with navigating a giant home improvement store and I like quality paint, so spotted this store of off 94 headed west on my way home. Immediately I was met by a wonderful employee who helped me through color choices and brands and was very helpful, as I was tired after work. As a woman, I try to frequent businesses where men are understanding of some thing we women deal with, especially projects. He could not have been more progressive and empathetic in his customer service skills. He was in his 20's, but had the maturity of someone in their 50's. How grateful I was to select paint, get some tools and have a conversation predicated on respect. This is a rare occurrence for women sometimes. I highly recommend this store, as a business is only as good as its employees and management and judging by my encounter, this employee was a rock star and this place was a 2022 example of being cognizant of the diversity of customers and their needs. Kudos. Great parking and easy to grab and go for tour paint needs. Go on in and get some paint!”

“Wow. Steve was awesome. The most helpful. I've been painting my house, and been trying to match this paint for ages. Nobody has done it. After about literally 5 or 6 trips to the store, and about an hour of minute adjustments, we got it. And it was a bit of a mid understanding which paint I was going for, and we matched the wrong color on the lid because someone had painted the lid for some reason. Steve was understanding, and helpful the whole time. And nailed it the last try. John, you've got a good mentor man. My house hasn't looked this good in a while!!Thanks guys!”

“Had a less than stellar experience across the street with the Lowe’s paint department, so we stopped in to Sherwin-Williams as we needed to pick up paint ASAP. Both associates were super kind, and they got us the paint we needed. It was a custom color, and the cost of the gallon was super expensive. they heard us say we were going to leave it for the next people, and asked what we were using it for. We told them we had some touch ups to do as we were moving soon, and Nick went above and beyond to find our current condo association account to offset the cost of the gallon of paint. Huge thank you to the staff- we really appreciate you turning the day around and helping us out!”

“Clearance section can’t be beat. A human always answers the phone. Their customer service was outstanding. Their advise was helpful. They knew what tools did what and where they were in the store (didn’t think this needed to be said but unfortunately in big chains this isn’t the case as we all know). Sometimes it’s hard to keep a 3 year old entertained. He only wanted ocean colors. He took two blue samples home with him and played with them and showed them to everyone. “The Royal Oak store excels at preparing in-store and online orders for paint. If you haven't used the website, online orders are the way to go! I used them for interior repainting projects, and they mixed up samples or gallons with minimal delay even during their popular sales. Colours come out true to samples and well-mixed, and they always take care to make sure lids are on firmly and tightly.Staff are happy to answer questions and don't treat beginner painters with any attitude. I found the employees generous with their knowledge, especially when it comes to selecting the best finish for a project. Much appreciated there.I deduct a half star from this for location. The parking lot is a complete bear to get in and out of. You can only enter off Woodward Avenue northbound. If you're coming off Catalpa, you can *only* park behind PetSmart. The tight corner is uncomfortable at the best of times and difficult at rush hour.”
