Meijer...ugh. The only good thing I have to say about any of the Meijer stores is that they make me appreciate Costco more. I am leaving this review of the Cedar Springs store as that is the last Meijer I was in, and the last Meijer I will ever set foot in again. Where shall we begin? With the counterfeit hair care products? Cheap quality clothing that falls apart the first time you wash it? Expired OTC medications? Employees using foul language in front of children? Rotten fruit and veggies? Re-ground hamburger? Yes, I think that is a great place to start because it pretty much sums up everything there is to say about Meijer. If they can save a few pennies at the expense of their customers' safety and health, they will do it. They will put it in really nice packaging though, and spend millions making the building look nice. They donate money to charity so they can portray themselves as good philanthropists and get large tax deductions. But where the rubber meets the road, they are the trailer park of retail.

I purchased a carrot cake from the bakery yesterday. It looked fabulous. Carrots cake is one of our family's favorite. This cake was terrible. When I cut it, it just crumpled. It tasted awful. I was so disappointed. $15.00 down the drain. I did looked for a sell by date, there was none. I will not be buying cakes or any desserts from Meijer bakery again.

Very upset with how they conduct business during the week. Every time I come in and need to check out with the cashier, not self check out. They only have 1-3 lanes open. They never offer help and then when something goes wrong they tell you to go somewhere else?!?. Well there is only 2 lanes. My food is all warm and melting while waiting in line. It should never take someone an hour just to check out! Usually I use self check out but when I have a cart full of stuff I don't want to slow down the quick check outs. Very upset!

I stopped at the Meijer gas station on 6-5-21 and went in to get a cup of coffee and the male employee said I couldn't. I explained other employees have said it is ok as long as I use a Meijer cup. He said no because of covid. Interesting since he didn't even wear a mask so no idea why he was making his own rules. I said I'd shop at Family Fare instead and he was fine with that. Not a good store to shop at unless you like employees making their own rules to hassel customers-maybe he wants to drive customers away. I won't be back-I'd rather pay more at a friendly store.

I have never been treated so rudely. My boyfriend and i just got out of work. And went to meijers in cedar springs to get some food. Wasnt even in there 5minutes and was just getting ready to pay for our stuff but was looking at some more food before paying for our stuff and this csm walkd towards us telling us we need to leave and pay for our stuff.. very rudely and cocky as she started following us to the self check out. She was not very nice. I will take my money and time else where if this is how your workers are going to treat your customers!

My husband and I went shopping on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, everything that I had on my list and was on sale, was in stock. They are getting better at ordering enough quantities of sale items so that they are still available on the last sale day. Cashier was friendly, kept nice, but limited conversation , which I think is appropriate. She bagged all items carefully with like items, and no bag was too heavy to carry or for the weight of the bag. I like the layout of the store. I like going from produce to general grocery, and ending with the refrigerated and freezer items. There is a good selection of clothes for all ages, gender, and sizes, considering this is one of their smaller stores. There were enough cashiers available for people ready to check out and pay for groceries. Floors were clean, fountain pop area was well stocked with tops and straws, and was clean. Parking lot was free if stray carts. Excellent experience.

Becky and Yvonne in the fish department are EXCELLENT in customer service and both know what they are doing. They spent quality time with me educating me on fish care. Thanks so much Ladies! Job well done!!!
