“I walked inside for lunch and I was greeted by 2 employees that were happy and positive. I ordered a pizza and checked out the impressive fishing section while I waited for my food. I had some small talk with the woman at the counter who told me the history of the store. I had a brief conversation with the owner who seems very genuine. I grabbed a couple lures and left with my pizza thinking to myself "you don't find many stores like this anymore". You're doing it right! Keep doing what you're doing.”
“Picked up New York strip, ribeye, and sirloin steaks earlier this week by recommendation. I have to say this establishment may look unpretentious, but don't be deceived; those were the best steaks our family has enjoyed in years! They were well marbled, flavorful, and tender! We will be repeat customers.”
“Good local grocery store - well laid out and very clean. Seems to have most needs, and offers State lottery tickets, as well as cigarettes and Spirits.
Prices seem a little higher than what you'd find at a Walmart or Meijer, but you have plenty of high-quality items to choose.
Plenty of free parking on a surface lot. Handicapped accessible.”
“I want to express my appreciation for this Meijer. I purchased diapers this afternoon snd purchased the wrong size as I was in a hurry. They were unopened, untouched. I didn’t have my receipt and didn’t enter Mperks as again I was in a hurry. Took the box to customer service, and the clerk allowed me to exchange them with no questioned asked. I REALLY appreciated this as I dug through my trash trying to find the receipt before I went. This level of kindness was so much appreciated and I will continue to be a customer of this store!”
“Best gas prices in the Sparta and surrounding areas. They are way cheaper than Meijer and other gas stations in Cedar Springs as well as Sparta and Kent City. Staff are friendly enough.”
“The man that was working in the pop can returns was so amazing!! We were there from for six hours filling in machines and trash cans with cans and trash. He was so fast on emptying both the machines and trash so we could continue our fund raiser for an awesome family. Big shout out to this guy!! I never got his name.”
“I really love this grocery store and not because it's five minutes up the road from me. I have never met more friendly and courteous and helpful staff going out of their way out to help you. After just a few times they remember your name. They greet you when you come in. I just love this store.
I will drive past 3 to 4 different family fare grocery stores just to get to this one which is slightly out of my way when I'm coming home from work. Yes, their prices are a bit high. What grocery store hasn't raised their prices, to be honest.”
“Changed from meijer for shopping and pharmacy and should have done it years ago.
I have the annual membership for the pick up order. So worth it. The shoppers are great and reach out to you for substitutions and they don't over book. I've never had a bad experience.
Another difference is they can accept tips. I didn't know that at first. They are all so great and friendly, please tip them if you can! Courtney is great!!!! Always great service and with a smile!!
Store is so clean and easy to park. I love family fare and happily drive a little further.”

“My husband and I shop here multiple times a week, since we live close by. It sure beats having to drive to a bigger store and contend with crowds and long lines. They seem to carry everything we need except for fresh meat & produce. Otherwise, we have been buying nearly all of our groceries, paper goods, and cleaning products here for years. Most of the employees are friendly and personable. As for the aisles being crowded with boxes and carts -- I suspect that they are not given time to properly stock shelves as a sole job. The cashier has to run between manning the register and filling shelves. We are extremely happy to have this Dollar General close by.”

“This was the cleanest Organized Great customer service Also handicapped-accessible dollar General store That I have been in a long time.i was amazed on how clean and organized it was. The dollar General store in Sparta and rockford are filthy big carts in hallways making it hard for wheelchair to get though hallways. The manager and employees at cedar springs Dollar General store should be rewarded for doing amazing job.”
