My husband and I were vacationing in Caseville. Our vehicle fob developed a low battery. We were over 2 hours from home.
We contacted our home town dealership and explained the issue. We just had the batteries changed by them 3 months prior. They told us we had to take it to a dealership to change and "reprogram" the fob. We took it to King auto and they changed the batteries which we purchased, for free. No reprogramming necessary! Very friendly and professional!

They were awesome. We got up north on vacation and transmission line went. On a Holiday no doubt. But they got the parts in and got us back on the road.Service: Transmission

This is the worst mechanic I’ve ever come across, don’t believe any of the good reviews most likely bot accounts made by him my car was there over a month and no work was even started on it and I’ve heard plenty other stories like it this is the laziest mechanic in the world you WILL be without a car for months if you take it here

Exceptional customer service. Had my 2015 Yukons oil changed and tire fixed as we ran over a bolt. They even gave me a ride back to my place. overall it was a great experience.

December 2022 by Pamela Haines
I just moved to Michigan from the Chicago suburbs in 2019. I have taken my vehicle twice to Kevin at King Auto in Caseville. The first time in 2019, Kevin installed an alternator a friend purchased for me. This friend did not purchase the correct alternator and Kevin noticed it, called me and I told Kevin to order the proper alternator and please make my 1998 Ford Expedition start properly. Kevin did just that. But that person used my name as "Haines Girl" and wrote a 2-star review. That was NOT me. I have been trying to figure out how to delete that wrong review because it is NOT what happened. I find Kevin to be an honest individual, his business is a trusting business, he will not jack you around nor will he take advantage of you, especially if you're a woman. My 2nd visit to Kevin was December of 2022 when my battery (again purchased by that same friend) was replaced and something was draining it where upon I would have to jump it during the winter. Kevin looked at that battery, told me it was the correct size, fixed the mounting of it, charged it up and proceeded to find what was draining it. He did so within a timeframe that was necessary to finally find the GEM fuse which controlled the windshield wipers to be the culprint. Ford will charge around $600 to replace something that needs to be replaced in order for this issue to go away since they need to reprogram the computer and my SUV is a 1998. So, why bother spending that kind of money? It was agreed for me to remove that fuse overnight and put it back in when driving the vehicle. This will make it last thru winter which is what my plan is cause I will get something new in 2023. Kevin was just super from the time I brought my truck in there to the time he found the issue and communicated to me what I needed to do. He marked the fuse so it is easy cheesy for me, a 66-1/2 year old woman, to understand and be able to do. Kudos to Kevin! And I highly recommend King Auto for any of your auto maintenance needs. And this review is actually from the correct person :)

Know Kevin for many years. He's a very good mechanic, but not very trust worthy. My father took he vehicle in for a complete brake job. A few months later, I drove his car to Florida. During the trip, I mentioned about the need for a job, he said it was worked on a few months ago prior to the trip. When we got home, I inspected the front and rear brakes and nothing was done. I don't remember the amount Kevin charged my dad, but it cost me $500 for new rotors, pads and calipers for the front, and new rotors and pads for the rear. When I knew Kev, I didn't trust him then. When I learned what he did to my dad, there is no way in hell I would ever take my vehicles to him. That said, he does know his stuff. I don't trust him with how he treats his customers, especially those who are senior in age.

I had a very quick visit to this location due to my engine light being on. I came in with no appointment. I’m from out of town and had not ever been here. The parking lot was packed so clearly, this place was swamped. But the gentleman that greeted me came right out to run a check, get an error code and reset the light. He didn’t even charge me. I was very grateful and impressed by the customer service. It’s not surprising though, since my uncle has been a fan of this repair shop for many, many years.
