Amerigas is one of the worse propane gas companies to deal with they lie to you to get you in the door then after your first fill up they stick to you when i call them about propane prices it was 115 gallons the first fill up then the second fill it jump to $3.40 a ? $111 more then i was paying for l switch if you want propane be careful where you go i went to the office it was closed to all customers so beware where you go

Paid 300 extra for next day delivery on a Thursday afternoon did not get gas until Monday morning. All weekend without heat and an 81 yr old woman with stomach cancer. You did very very poor!!!!

Truly awful service truly awful customer service their prices are outrageous. Overcharges for no reason they were taken off after I proved the overcharges. But i'm getting away from amerigas

NEGATIVE 20 STARSSave yourself! Do not get one of their propane tanks for your home. In all my years of dealing with big corporations, this one is the worst!I had a past due balance, with which I reached out to Amerigas multiple times to work with me on a payment plan. Finally, after a few months, they said I can pay off my remaining balance broken up into 4 months. So I made the first payment, at which point I was lied to, when they said once I started the payment plan I could get more gas in my propane tank. When you call their service phone number, you get routed directly to India. Skip any and all of their representatives from there and go straight to a USA supervisor, or you will never get anywhere.After 2 phone calls, I was told I could get a refill of my propane tank, now that I was on a payment plan for my prior balance owed. The supervisor lied, told me yes, your gas will be on the way. Nope! They took my second payment (first being for the prior balance) and instead of doing what they told me (delivering the gas I ordered and prepaid for) they took that payment and applied it to my already arranged payment plan.Everything in my house is run on propane and we all know winter is close to being here. Amerigas would rather let you freeze to death than help you get your gas which is essential to running your household. Please, avoid them at all costs.

I called to pre pay for the season, could not understand the person on the phone! I'm 73 with hearing aids an your service person had a high voice which is hard for me - she also spoke to FAST for me to understand / she did slow down her speaking and switched me to the automated pay system. that was worse. She told me that was the only option to pay / I hung up in discus !!!!! We've been customers since 1980.The local service people came with a new tank as they said ours was too rusty to repaint. They were VERY nice!

You lost my energy draft check for 395$ which cost me late fees and hours of phone calls to get nowhere. and now I have to wait 16 weeks for a new one from the Michigan department of Treasury. Great company

Customer service/call center is horrible and no help! Due to winter months and high gas bill I was able to be put on convenience pay in January. I pay my bill at the beginning of the month even though it isn’t due till the 30th. I paid more than what was originally setup. Around May I started noticing late fees and I had to call to have the fees removed due to being on the payment plan. I was told I would have to call each month to have them removed. Then I started getting past due notices in the mail! Once again had to call and remind them I am on the payment plan. Now in July I get a letter in the mail from a collection agency! Back to calling the call center and during the conversation I was told that the payment plan was cut off back in May! I was not notified on this and was told that they don’t notify people of changes. I was also told I would be placed back on the payment plan and the collection agency will be notified. I don’t miss payments, I am never late, and always early! I could go on and on about this and this company!

I went without propane for a week and a half, the customer service team could not help me set up my account I had to wait the whole weekend, mind you without heat during the coldest week of the year. Then they came and capped my tank the same day I created the account which was good but then they didn't come and fill my tank till Wednesday, and they left the tank capped when they left. So, I called to have them come back and they couldn't get someone to me until the following Monday... I had to take off work to be there for all of this and the response on when exactly they were going to be there was bad.The only good thing was the person I set up my account thru was really nice once i was able to get through to reach someone and not a robot. She was able to get me very good price for the propane, because it was our first time.

Did not resolve the problem. There is still a balance. I was told this would be resolved. Zero balance. This was a error. Was told 4 times this would be resolved.
