Rudest staff with nasty attitudes. Admitted on video about lying to tenants to get them to leave staff alone when it comes to alleviating complaints. Leasing here has been hell I can’t wait to leave!

I've lived here since July 2021 and am now on the fourth management company in less than 30 months. I'm not sure what's going on here but it's definitely not comforting.

I have been living here for a little over a year now and as with most apartment complexes it has its ups and downs. There has been a number of management changes but is oddly common with a lot of apartment communities especially one as large as this. I would like to shout out two people who work in the office who have been a huge help and deciding factor on renewing my lease here for another year. Sam K and Kara Crespo! Kara took my concerns and addressed them immediately and made sure to stand behind her word. She recognized the miscommunication through the various changes of staff and handled my concerns thoroughly and promptly. Sam is AMAZING! She took the lead on making sure everything with my renewal went smoothly. She showed genuine concern and empathy for my concerns and most importantly kept the lines of communication open. She made sure to take care of things from start to finish never passing the buck to someone else. Even more she took ownership of my concerns and handled them with the most care and that is all I can ask for. There are a number of things I can say about this property but as new management is getting settled I will standby to see how they handle changes and all the promised improvements across this property. One thing I can say is that I do feel safe and have not had any major issues or concerns since living here. My biggest complaint would be to get a better system for the trash and ENFORCED assigned parking for EVERYONE!

Making a second review because I found out today that this place sent my account to collections even though my balance was paid in full and my lease ended almost 9 months ago. I had zero balance left on the account and they never even gave us security deposit back even though we left our unit spotless. Seriously though this place sucks it’s dirty; not taken care of and most importantly the management is going to steal money from you in any way they can. Shady folks here stay very far away you would be better off finding a home in the projects off van dyke in east side Detroit.

We applied and filled out an application. It took a long time to get one available. When we finally got one they walked us through the apartment before they cleaned the unit and did any maintenance. We liked the floor planned & expressed that we would like to move in asap but we definitely need maintenance and everything cleaned first. We got a email that weekend (we saw the unit on a Tuesday) saying our move in date would be Monday. We got our deposit ready and everything and we got our keys the unit looked the same other than the floors & carpet. The stove was dirty, cabinets, toilets, everything was untouched. They told us they would prorate the rent until Friday and have everything done. They only replaced the stove and did a horrible job caulking the toilet. Everything was still not cleaned. I was annoyed but I had to clean because we had nowhere to go at that point. On Monday we tried to reach the manager until now two months later no one has fixed our problems and even corporate doesn’t respond or reply. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Floor plans look nice that’s where it ends! Management sucks and so does their maintenance team. I asked the assistant manager if they even had a cleaning crew or do you expect your next tenants to clean behind your last tenant. Because I need to be paid for the cleaning! Unacceptable.

very dirty apartment with cat litter left in the residence upon move in, trash left everywhere outside of units. leasing office is never prompt with move ins or answering the phone, laundry room is disgusting, no hot water for 2 days now. I recommend looking elsewhere !!Edit:Dishwasher is now broken for over two weeks, multiple maintenance requests, & calls to the office made, they always say just a few more days and no change. If it takes over 2 weeks every time for a maintenance request to be filled, hire more staff! Haven’t had a front door handle/ locking front door in 4 months. Do not live here.

please if anyone is thinking of moving here do not. this place is nowhere near safe and you won’t have a day of peace living here. there’s always something new we had 5 robberies in the same night while there was a cop in the parking lot. people’s packages get stolen on the daily and a lot of things that have been stolen are very valuable like; passports, license plates, wedding dresses, $200 packages and more. the management does not care for any of the residents you can make hundreds of maintenance request and not receive anything back, you can complain, email, call and literally hear nothing back like no answer at all. you can go in person and they say they’ll do something but nothing will happen. a lot of building doors do not lock which is a safety issue for our residents. you get hit with fees that they never told you about and you will pay things you don’t even use. this place is a scam they don’t care for anyone or anything other than money. it’s sad and disgusting that they are allowing this to happen to residents and not do anything. there are a lot of other places you can go that are cheaper and the management takes care of their residents, but this place is not it. i warn almost every person i see on tours not to move here because it’s a nightmare but i really hope no one else moves here and all the current residents move out and leave this business with nothing and let them close this place down asap. PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR LIFE AND PEACE DO NOT MOVE HERE

I applied for a 2 bedroom which their site says they have multiple available. I paid a 60 dollar application fee plus a 200 dollar holding fee just to be told that their site hasn’t been updated and they have no 2 bedrooms available even though there are about 13 listed. They are having “issues” with their turn over company. I also called when finding out I was approved throughout the week and was met with I couldn’t be helped or talked to about anything until Monday because of the holiday. Cancelled my application and won’t get a refund for 45 days. All of it just seems like they don’t have it together . I wouldn’t apply here .

Yet another update: ceiling is leaking now for the fourth time. No one has come to fix the drywall in the ceiling since the first leak, but I suppose that work would have been wasted on three more leaks.Update after response: after all of my failed attempts to reach the community manager, I have now been “invited” to reach the community manager? The ceiling in our bathroom has started to leak for the third time. It truly doesn’t stop getting awful here at Ridgeline. If you have any other choices on where to live, I suggest you go there. We moved in April and have been dealing with issues ever since. The freshly shampooed carpet looked ratty during the tour but would later reveal cat pee stench upon move in time. We marked this issue in our move in check list. After many calls, maintenance requests, office visits and 18 emails to the community manager - the only thing they’ve done has been to send a shampooer in (this masked the smell for about 2 weeks and probably set the stench in worse than before). I can’t imagine they didn’t collect the last tenant’s security deposit - but I will tell you, that money wasn’t used to fix the problem. They had been boasting a $14 million dollar renovation, but I guess removing disgusting carpet couldn’t have made that list? It’s not just about the smell for me. I am postponing sinus surgery because this in not a healthy environment to heal in.In this same room, the shelf in the closet fell ( these people don’t care about beams or anchors). I’m not the most handy person but I at least know that! I submitted a maintenance request and in that time, my boyfriend spent $100 on a proper closet solution and installed it two weeks before anyone even responded to the request. I let them know we took care of it already. They didn’t care. I mentioned the continued cat pee issue and was told to contact the front desk (wow, why didn’t I think of that first? -_- )And there’s the garbage issue! This place has one dumpster and a trash compactor. Sometimes they get frisky and get a second dumpster. Their method of trash removal is providing tenants with a garbage bin. We are to place one garbage bag in this bin in front of our doors and they are to be collected by staff (Sunday to Thursday evening) to be compacted, presumably. They have recently sent out threats of $100 fees for everyone in a building to have trash outside their building. It just so happens that staff collects garbage from inside the building and places it in front of the buildings before they take it away. Last night I placed my garbage bag inside my bin and noticed that others had done the same, the front of our building was clear. Later in the evening during garbage collection time, I see three bags in front of our building including mine. Now I’m not sure whether this was forgotten or staged but I left a maintenance request last night and called the office this morning after seeing that animals had gotten to the garbage before staff did. (Of course no one responded, ya silly goose!)I will be fighting any type of attempt at a fine. This place is shady, staff is unresponsive and argumentative ( at temper tantrum levels), and every corner than can be cut will. They will continue to dodge any kind of accountability and hide behind name changes and deflections to “previous management”. You will see this in their responses to other bad reviews and likely mine in time.I wouldn’t be surprised to see this place was part of some type of scheme or fraud in the future.I wish I listened to these bad reviews instead of giving the “new management” a chance.

I would give negative stars if I could. Do not sign a lease here. Apartments were “refurbished” painted over to cover up all the cosmetic issues. My entire apartment is not level. The electrical was built in the 60s and never updated. Can’t even use some kitchen appliances without tripping the circuit. Extremely behind on maintenance requests. Random undisclosed and unexplained charges.

Please run! I moved in June. Into a unit that had no ac, a broken dish washer, and noScreen door on the back. They told me it would treated as an emergency. Within the two weeks someone came and nothing was fix they said it take 30 to 60 days for a part to come in. It's Oct and nothing has been done. Now my heat is broken, don't even expect any accommodations. The lack of care management has is ridiculous. She is very rude and treats you as though you have no common knowledge. It may look very pretty but the headache is not worth it. Pay attention to the reviews and truly take them into consideration !

On October 3rd, 2023, my boyfriend and I experienced an unforgettable moment as we received the keys to our new home, and our hearts overflowed with joy. Our journey to this incredible milestone was made even more special thanks to the exceptional assistance of Sam, who has been our guiding light for nearly a month now. Sam not only delivered on every promise but consistently went above and beyond our expectations. If you are contemplating applying or exploring the possibilities at "Ridgeline at Canton," look no further than Sam. She is the embodiment of professionalism and dedication. Sam is the one you absolutely must reach out to, and I can guarantee she will exceed your every expectation. As a piece of advice, please exercise patience during the process, for we have learned firsthand that patience truly yields the most rewarding results. Our hearts are brimming with love for our new townhome, and our excitement knows no bounds. We are genuinely thrilled and deeply grateful to now call Ridgeline at Canton our home.

The people in the office are kind, but they never answer the phones. We dealt with a broken/flooded dishwasher for over a month before it was fixed, and had our hot water heater “replaced” but I haven’t been able to take an actual hot shower in months. If your maintenance team is too small to handle all of the buildings you NEED to invest in outside sources. It’s not fair to your maintenance staff, and I’d bet anything you have a hard time with turnover. Seriously considering calling the city at this point.

I am a previous resident who recently took a tour this week. The pictures online definitely will get you to at least go and look. Upon, walking into the building of the vacant, the hallway had trash everywhere. We walked in and there was visible water damage on the floor. I walked into the room where the furnace would be and there is clearly water damage there because I could see the brown spots everywhere. If I had been a shopper, the property would have failed. As a leasing agent myself, I wouldve never shown this apartment. It wasn't up to par, so we decided to continue our search. Trash was always a problem, even when we lived here 5 years ago. It's just too many apartments and not enough dumpsters and not enough pick up days.
