Dealing with this pharmacy has been a nightmare. Every call was a chore that involved being put on hold and then transferred way to frequently because each person would say they “didn’t handle that” and transferred me before helping me with what I initially called for. Then when I thought all of my medications were delivered, I realized they shorted me on doses and have to go back to fighting with them to get what I need. Pretty sure they just don’t want to actually do their jobs and dispense meds, and are just hoping people will give up on trying.

My experience with this pharmacy, admittedly is limited, but it was horrible. I had dealt with a previous specialty pharmacy that was helpful, called to check on me, made sure I understood everything etc. Had to switch to this on per insurance and it was dreadful. Texts only and when I called to schedule a deliver I was hit with very disturbing information. I really don't think they sent things through the insurance company as they were supposed to. They were not kind, considerate, helpful and just on the edge of rude. Don't use if you don't have to.

I don’t even know where to start. They became the preferred specialty pharmacy for my insurance in Aug 2022, and every time I thought it couldn’t get worse, they prove me wrong. They were sending me discolored infusion tubing and using a makeshift set up because they didn’t have all of the supplies. Not a single infusion went smoothly. They finally admitted they couldn’t do it and signed off on allowing me to use another pharmacy. That went fine for 7 months, until I needed a renewed prior auth. Now they’ve held up my meds for months, while telling me they still can’t do it and telling the insurance they can. They finally told me they can do this one, last week, and now they’re holding it up in pharmacy. When I tried to talk to a pharmacist, the gatekeeper on the phone refused to put me through because I referred to my F’ing prescription. Apparently they “don’t allow cursing”. For real? I didn’t call them a name, I just used the word. Don’t answer calls at the most disorganized specialty pharmacy on the planet if you can’t handle an occasional curse word! While I wait for a late prescription, I’m getting sicker and sicker and most of the people at Alliance could care less. They only care about keeping BCBS clients at all costs. If your insurance doesn’t require using them, I would really not recommend it.

They're crooked. I recently changed to another provider for the next year. two weeks before the end of the year, I ordered a couple of prescriptions. They left them in "being reviewed" status and ran out the clock. Then denied the prescriptions. Sleazy.

I am starting a new Medicare Advantage plan that is effective on 01/01/24. I wanted to verify that Walgreens AllianceRx accepted this insurance so I can plan ahead and not risk a delay in my prescriptions. I called the number and it took about 15 minutes to just get through the painful automatic voice. I finally get a pharmacy tech on the line, I wish I would have gotten her name. She could not have been more disinterested if she tried. She yawned, mumbled and truly did not care whether I would be a potential customer. I asked her "Yes ma'am I am trying to verify that you accept my insurance that is effective the first of the year". She replied, "YAWN...I guess I can register you if you want." I explained 3 more times that the insurance wasn't in effect yet & I had already registered online. She then replied, "Oh. Well then you will have to wait until January". I again explained the need to know now as I am disabled & have to have mail order pharmacy delivery. She said, "Contact your new insurance and ask them". I said "I did but as with most companies they want me to use their pharmacy & I wanted to use Walgreens." She replied, "YAWN...then I don't know what to tell you." They absolutely have lost the opportunity to have me as a customer. I stopped using Walgreens about 25 years ago because of the incompetence & lack of caring by Walgreens. I thought in 25 years time they would have certainly improved their customer service exponentially. I was wrong. They don't care, aren't friendly and don't want your business. All she had to do was look at their computer and see if they accepted my new plan. She didn't want to make that effort so I will find a company that will.

Took over a week to be told that they can't even fill my meds. Number was on back of my insurance card and they don't even work with my insurance. I'm now out of meds and they sent me somewhere else

I have Medicare Part D Blue Cross and use Alliance mail order pharmacy. These people in customer service are not English Speaking people. They never give me correct information and are difficult to understand. Avoid this place if you can.

I would give it a minus 1 if I could. They called me yesterday and said they were shipping overnight. I called them today because it did not show. I was told by first person that they had to talk to Dr. and could not ship. I finally spoke to pharmacist and was told dosage was wrong for a new prescription. I told her I've been taking this for 2 years it's not new. She said she couldn't find my records and did not know. But the dosage would be correct if that was the case. 15 days trying to get this medicine and 20 min. on phone. Also their phone message asked that you stay on line for a review of the call. I did and it cuts you off before you can speak. It has done that for over 2 years. Hard to believe this co. can stay in business. It could not if not med. related where poor service is becoming the norm.

I have leukemia, Everytime I need a refill on my medication I have to fight and beg and talk to a supervisor to get them. They will only give me a 15 day supply (not their fault). But due to this I fight a lot

Alliance RX is a horrible organization lacking business logic skills, poor customer support and no flexibility. I spoke with Alliance on a prescription prior to shipping, and we agreed on a price point that Alliance would not ship if that price point exceeded the agreed price point by $0.01. The product shipped and my doctor moved forward with the procedure. I received a bill that was $1400 more than the agreed price point. After several dreadful customer support calls, I offered to pay 1/2 and they said NO. I finally paid it to avoid a credit hit. I felt they would not do the right thing because of their narrow minded and unfair business to this point. The bottom line is they dropped the ball on our agreement, and they would not make it right. If they had informed me of the price delta, I would have said cancel the order. There is a reason why Alliance RX has so many 1 Star Ratings. Stay away if possible.

Update: I still stand by my reciew below. A new online specialty pharmacy is taking care of the medication my experience below is all about and it took them one day to get everything set with my insurance and the manufacturer's co-pay coupon. Exactly like it should be! Horrible, horrible, horrible. Oh how I wish I had read the reviews here first! It may not be the fault of the people who work there, it may be their process/system, but I have never had so much trouble filling a prescription in my entire life. They kept blaming everyone else - my doctor, my insurance, even the drug manufacturer's savings program! They were always waiting/calling for information from someone else even though it had all been given to them repeatedly! I tried for TEN days and as of right before I cancelled it, it was STILL "waiting for information". I kept a record of how much time I personally spent on the phone with all of the parties mentioned above to figure out what the issue was and it was SIX hours! My doctor said she learned one thing (after repeated phone calls from them to her as well) and that was that she was going to tell other other patients not to go through them!

I am advocating for people who take life-saving medications to AVOID using AllianceRx Walgreens Home Delivery. I take a medication on which my life and health depends and you can't order it until the prescription is nearly out. That timing happened to be close to a special two-week vacation I planned to take with my family outside the country. I had to make three calls to folks who could not pronounce my medication, had no idea what it did or why it might be important to me and seemed to want to get me off the phone quickly. They didn't care and couldn't be bothered to take the time to actually resolve my issue preferring to place roadblocks in my way and suggest this was all my problem. One told me my medication would cost me $1,300 out of pocket which wasn't true, the next one said they would overnight it to me, which never happened, and the third told me they would overnight and I would get it prior to leaving the country. The third representative did honestly try, but by this time it was too late. The order came a single day after I had already left. Luckily, my doctor had been able to call in a 'vacation supply' to my local pharmacy or I would have had to forfeit my trip and literally thousands of dollars to go on it. I will never use Alliance again, and I will work diligently to help other people who take prescriptions like mine to NEVER use this service. This is a business model-FAIL. They put profits first and patients...dead...last.

If I could give a zero, I would. I had nothing but problems with this pharmacy. Unorganized, and unhelpful. I would not get my meds when they said they would be delivered. I was a part of a copay assistance program since my medicine was $16k a dose. They kept saying they were coordinating with the medication company, but were not. Every 4 weeks I would have to dedicate an hour or 2 to fight with this horrible company on the phone and still got bills for thousands. I will be forever grateful that I am not required to use them anymore.

I tried transferring a prescription from a local pharmacy for home delivery and at the same time requested that they renew an expired prescription from my doctor. Two days later I received a call from the pharmacy that they did not accept my insurance (my insurance company had sent a link to their website). After going over the information they found they had a number wrong, and that they would expedite the order. It's been five days and nothing showed up on the website so I called the pharmacy and they said they had not received the transfer or the doctors new prescription. Since there is no record on the website of any prescriptions listed, my opinion is they had not requested either one. Any other time I had a transferred a prescription it takes not more than one day, and no more than two days to get a routine renewal from my doctor. I have since gone to Express Scripts and they seem to work fine with no issues.
