We pulled into Superior Auto at 3:00 PM with a leaky tire, and John went out of his way to quickly find the 8 penny nail in our tire, plug the hole, and get us on our way. John and his wife treated us like friends, and I highly recommend their shop!

Had a boat trailer tire that had gone flat....I needed a fast turnaround...with no appointment. Without hesitation they took care of me within 30 minutes. Can't say enough nice things.

Great shop and service. We broke down on a family vacation and the owners really stepped up to make sure they did absolutely everything they could to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. From tracking down parts after hours to staying late to get the job done. They treated us like family even though we were total strangers. Can't thank you enough you saved the day and the trip for us!

John is a great mechanic and even greater person.
My wife and I were up on vacation from the Flint area. A horrible rattling noise started emanating from our car engine. We nursed it to John late in the day on a Thursday. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable discussing the issue and he was confident that he "could get us home".
Even though he really should have had no time for us (he was "2 weeks behind"). He diagnosed the suspected problem, ordered the parts, and told us he'd work on it on Friday until it was done. His wonderful wife Jess drove us and our luggage to the motel we had to rent in town.
He repaired and delivered the car to us Friday evening (working late when he should have been at his daughter's birthday). He charged what we thought was a totally fair price for replacing the timing chain. The car runs great, and we, of course, got home.
Thank-you John and Jess for rescuing our vacation!

John (the owner) and his son Ryan were amazing. I had a flat tire on the way to a Houghton appointment luckily I rolled into a Circle-K with "Free Air" and put air in which blew out immediately! So I wrestled with the jack and put on the "Temporary Spare" and...
EVEN LUCKIER, John's "Superior Auto Tech" shop was about two doors down. He was obviously busy but took the time to talk to me about options.
Ultimately he found a puncture, fixed it immediately then jacked up the car and put the tire back on. Ryan helped me put my jack, tools and spare back in the storage space (REALLY NICE POLITE YOUNG MAN). For all of that John only charged me $20...So I gave him a hefty tip and thanked them both profusely for their kindness and for dropping everything to take such good care of me. Great place, great people! Too bad I can't give them a 10 star rating!!

Are you from out of town and broken down? So was I. I called five different stores on Friday morning when I woke up. Nobody had any space to see me obviously. "I'm booked out two weeks" and "better call somebody else" over and over. What am I going to do? I can't wait till monday... When I finally got a hold of John, he didn't have any time either. But he made time anyway. For me and my family. John is the type of man that makes time for people in need. " I don't know how I'm going to do it just yet but I'll get you home" John says.Johns a professional. He diagnosed my left front wheel bearing right away. Somehow the part was in stock also. John told me to come at 2:00 when the part arrived and he'd get it in right away. That's exactly what he did. He charged me more than a fair price and refused any notion of a tip. John saved the day. I know I will never be able to properly return the favor so paying it forward is my only option. By the way, Jon, we made it home. Thank you, Superior Auto Tech! There are good people left in this world. John at Superior is one of them.

Excellent service! I was in Calumet and my brakes suddenly began making noises. Jon was kind enough to look at and diagnose the problem. He was even kinder to replace the brakes, rotars, and a caliper. I am so thankful. They saved the day for me and I was able to return home the same day. They were honest and friendly. Excellent service and high quality work. Five stars does not seem like it is even high enough as a rating for a business such as this that goes above and beyond to ensure that others are able to have safe travels.

Just had my vehicle in for brake job, i was called and informed to stop by. They inspected and found a serious ball joint issue. And a small oil leak i was unaware of. He stayed there all friday night repairing my ride. Ty John for the honesty and the immediate action we made it 1000 miles already and we are still rolling.

Amazing experience. After getting up to this area from our last destination, we happened to see our check engine light come on out of nowhere. They were able to check everything out for us and checking our battery, reassuring us that the extension of our trip would be just fine until we get back. Thank you guys again. Would definitely recommend. ?
