Best experience I have ever had with a bank. When we closed on our construction loan, Kara took her time and explained the papers we were signing. And answered all of our questions. Best close I have ever had.

I would not recommend United Bank of Michigan to anyone. we switched to this bank after a bad experience with a different bank and have been members for approximately 16 years now. The personnel at the Caledonia branch have always been pleasant. The problem is the corporate people you have to talk to you when you have a problem with United Bank. We get locked out of her online banking quite often. There is a problem with that system. Anytime you have to call to either have your account unlocked or password changed you have to deal with your corporate support. Their corporate support is downright nasty and very unhelpful. after this most recent experience, I would not recommend United Bank of Michigan to anyone. They are not the same bank. They were even a couple years ago. I tried to call the owner for help and left him a message, but he decided not even get back with me. We are members of multiple banks, but we've chosen United Bank do their bill pay as of right now this is the only bank that we have physical checks for. We will be transitioning away from United Bank of Michigan and working towards being members and keeping your money where your treated well when you have a problem. I cannot emphasize enough how rotten their support staff is.

I like this bank so much that it's still my bank after moving over 700 miles away to another state. You can talk to a live person without going through a long, repetitive menu. Every staff member I've interacted with is polite and relates well. The website is a bit clunky at times, but the chat staff is usually available weekdays to provide directions in an efficient and friendly manner. When the staff says they will follow up they do so in a timely manner.
