Dr Heather of Blue Lake Animal Hospital is absolutely the best vet I've ever taken my animals to, in a lifetime of owning animals. She's kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable.

I have a small breed dog pregnant with a singleton puppy and at the vet yesterday morning we were faced with a tough decision. Being a hour+ away and the probability of her going into labor last night if deciding to wait until this morning to do the procedure, we decided based of reverse pg and ultrasound and xray that puppy was ready to come out even though pg still at a 5.4ngl. X ray showed toe bones supporting sufficient development to live, ultrasound showed puppy was still alive and healthy not under any stress. Singleton pups cause momma dogs labor symptoms to vary vs a whole gut full of pups. Dr Heather at Blue Lake Animal Hospital was very mindful of all possible factors and did a wonderful job making sure we left home with a healthy pup and momma without risking going to labor last night waiting on a c section this morning... very blessed to have a reproduction vet competent, mindful and willing to perform with excellence no matter the circumstances. I will forever recommend Dr Heather and Blue Lake Animal Hospital. Sky's been bred a couple times prior without any pups it was very important to me by any means necessary to make sure this pup made it. It's been a long couple years trying to get a puppy off sky and when I found out a week or so ago she was only having one it was very important the survival of this puppy.. I would trust Dr Heather and Blue Lake Animal Hospital 10 out of 10 times in this situation.

? I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Heather and her amazing staff! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. They are incredibly compassionate and truly take the time to listen to both you and your pet.
Not only is the care top-notch, but the prices are also very reasonable! It’s refreshing to find a vet that prioritizes the well-being of the animals without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking for a vet who genuinely cares, look no further. Highly recommend! ??

Best vets I've ever been to, always prioritizing the animals. I take my 3 cats there and am always happy with the care they receive. I adore Dr Heather who sees my bearded dragons and collared lizards. Good exotic vets are hard to find and I am thankful beyond words for Dr Heather. She always squeezes us in when I express it is urgent. I recently have been in a lot with my 1.5 yr old bearded dragon for treatment for bacteria from recalled produce she consumed. Dr Heather graciously squeezed us in multiple times with short notice to help me with the antibiotic injections and getting my 4 month old dragon on meds. It is obvious they care more for the animals than other vets I've seen and if you express it is serious they prioritize seeing your animal. The communication is always excellent and Dr Heather always makes time to answer my many questions, even when she's very busy I always get a call back and that is beyond valuable to me. I just can't say enough good things about Blue Lake and Dr Heather!

The front office staff are always friendly and courteous. I love all 3 Veterinarians! They are very knowledgeable and explain everything really well. It's obvious they truly care about the health of each animal they see. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!!

No Stars. Worst experience I've ever had with a veterinary staff. The earliest opening was 6 weeks out. The day before her apt . She started her cycle. I called to move forward. After rescheduling I asked the receptionist if I needed to open an OFA file on-line. She said, "All breeding ?'s are for the Dr." I asked, "Can you find out? Her response was kirt, "No! All breeding ?'s are for the Dr." I said, This is a filing ? At this point I was irritated with her lack of effort to help me and just wanting to push me off to the side instead of expanding her own customer service skills and genuinely care to be helpful. I responded, "Maybe you could save her some time away from patience by finding this out. I'm sure other clients will ask this." She just kept saying No. Then I received a post card stating how nice it was to meet my dog they never met. I thought it was an automated system error. Today, I contacted to confirm my dogs apt. I received a text stating I was terminated for being rude to the staff. Thats fine I have higher standards.

Amazing vet with amazing staff. My dog Zeus is very anxious and very nervous at the vet and I can honestly say this was the best experience he has ever had. Very friendly staff that was thoughtful and knowledgeable and very careful with Zeus. Would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough about this animal hospital and how much I appreciate them and am grateful to have found them.
I’ll summarize for those that want quick info at a glance:
- Quick and compassionate response to our pet emergency.
- The vibe there is warm and caring.
- They saved my pet’s life.
- I was actually shell-shocked at how REASONABLE the bill was. Great example of “trust over transactions”.
Our experience:
I called there with an emergency for one of our pocket pets and Carissa was so caring and helpful and wonderful to talk to. They not only got us in the very next morning, but Dr. Heather came in on her day off to help our pet. As soon as we walked in, you could tell the entire staff there just loves animals, no matter how tiny. I felt good leaving our little ratty girls there to get treatment. Dr. Heather is so caring and dedicated. She was also very knowledgeable and validating. We were able to get x-rays done to confirm and see the issues that were present, and get medicine for our pet, as well as clear instructions. We also discovered that they even do surgeries for your pocket pets if needed! How awesome is that?!
Before leaving, I made sure that I signed up our beloved pocket pets to be patients there as there’s obviously no need to ever take them anywhere else. This was next level care and service for our tiny little loved pet. By the way, our little ratty girl is doing SO MUCH BETTER thanks to you and your team! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

We moved to the area back in December of this year, and one of the main concerns was trying to find a veterinarian that we could trust with all of our fur babies. Thank God Across Lake animal Hospital, Because they have been nothing short of amazing!!! We appreciate everything you do for our babies
I highly recommend this place to anybody that’s thinking about changing veterinarians
