I was driving back from Traverse City when my water pump went out at 11pm, so I had to spend the night in Cadillac...When I woke up the next morning , I looked up places to get it fixed and I came across Tuffy Tire and Auto Center...I called and talked to Larry and he told if I brought it to him , he was able to get it in ...I brought my truck to him , and less than 2 hours I was out of there and on my way back home to Grand Rapids...Thank you Larry and your mechanic for helping us out, and doing an AMAZING job

We were in quite a jam and tuffy saved the day. Our vehicle broke down in Cadillac on our way home to Grand rapids. It happened very late at night, and we were stranded. We were lucky enough to be able to get a hotel and get to a hotel. The next morning was a saturday, and my husband made call after call after call trying to find anybody who was open and could help us out same day. Everyone was either close or couldn't get to us for a few days. Tuffy was the only one that got us in, they got us in right away and within an hour and a half I believe it was our car was done and we were on our way home. It was not a fun experience being stuck, but it was great to have somebody who could take us, they fixed it well, and they did it timely and got us out of there.

Here's my experience with Tuffy at this location. Had my 2000 Honda passport towed by Spears Towing (great experience) last Weds August 21st because my car wouldn't start but my battery was fine. I thought it might've been starter or alternator from what I looked up on YouTube. But the skilled mechanics found out the real problem was wires under my dashboard. I'm awful with remembering names but this younger man in his mid 30s went back and forth locating from diagrams to find the problem and fixing it
But the next day after I still had the same problem I was stuck at the Cadillac library and it wouldn't start
I thought it was the same wire problem
And that I was going to have to tow it back for another diagnostic again and was worried about the cost of it all.
Then the young man on the phone said wait a minute the mechanic who worked on it before will meet you there in 10min and check it out
I was surprised as heck but sure enough this young mechanic came out of his own time and found out it was a different wire that was broken and he went back to shop for a part and fixed it again!
I'm sorry I forgot your name young man but I remember your story a family man of 5 kids who's been working at Tuffy for over 14yrs
This man was the definition of a honest and good person.He didn't have to go help but he did. Tuffy is lucky to have him and all the great mechanics working there. I highly recommend this Tuffy location for any and All manner of automobile work you may need to keep yourself and your family safe on the roads. I personally will be only using them for anything else that may happen.Once again thanks again for all your help guys and God bless you all.

Aligned a car with bad struts instead of recommending replacement. Don't stop here they just charged me 90 bucks for my car to keep doing the same thing and not be fixed...

Naughty good place them people who take advantage of you Matthew Perry then fix it money hungry they take advantage of people and don't fix your car I would not take my car there they need to be put out of business

Me and my family were on vacation, I had a problem with my truck. I called ten auto repair places in Traverse City , called all the auto repair places in Buckley & Mesick MI. Not one would help me . I called Cadillac Tuffy They repaired my truck in under hour & 1/2 . Very professional, very prompt and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone.

Tried to charge me over 900$ to do a wheel bearing claiming it was a 700$ bearing. Took it down the road to protected auto where they fixed it in less than 2 hours for 385$

I ended up stranded in TC today with my family due to poor maintenance work done at my Hyundai dealership. Dealership was useless and not willing to help at all. My husband and I called around to about 6 places with no luck. Then we came across these guys. They got us right in and immediately ordered the parts for us. They did everything they could to keep us updated and informed. Only took them about 3 hours to get it fixed up so we could safely get back on the road. Thank you so much Tuffy!

Scheduled appt for an alignment. They spent the first hour and a half visually inspecting my vehicle with tires on still and still on the ground, mind you, the proceeded to come to me with a list of over $2000 in parts, saying I needed all those parts before they would even attempt the alignment.Bottom Line, they want to up sell you on parts, ALL BEFORE even looking into or troubleshooting your original issue.And after going to another shop, the whole list was wrong and still would have left me with bad tires, and a bad wheel bearing even if I spent the 2000 with them.Be careful. Know a bit about your vehicle or they’ll try to sell you every part they can. Without even verifying the part is bad.

Great customer service by John. Checked my radiator, filled my coolant, showed me how to maintain my vehicle and did not charge me a arm and a leg. Thank you so much.

Charged me $200 to “fix” my back brakes locking up. I told them when I left that it was still happening and they said “no it is not”. Fast forward a week later my brand new brake pads were completely wore down and my rotors were screwed. So not only did they lie to me and take $200 but it also caused a lot more in damages. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

Came in to get 4 snow tires put on. Called to days in advance to setup an appointment to make sure everything would be good. From start to finish, took the them 95 mins to do what should've been a 40 min job. When I asked what was going on I was told they don't do tire just auto "stuff" and they are doing the best they can and his employees were not happy to be doing them in the first place. Also they would not honor their military discount with me.
