Love everything about this vet. They are real. Honest and best prices around. Grateful for all the full care and end of life care they provided for my best furry friend.

This place has been taking care of my 2 pups for at least 10 years & I love them. What really sealed the deal was after they treated my now 14 year old pup for cancer. While the vet I'd originally seen left I've been happy with the others I've seen (only 1 was a little skittish around my pit mix who has never been a problem). The techs are all super warm, caring & have loads of empathy. And they've given me options, when possible, due to my financial situation. Prices have gone up as with everything but they're reasonable & exceptional at their job.

Love this vet. My dog is 16 and the vet was encouraging instead of making me more scared than I already am about him being old. I can call with questions and they get back quickly, and everyone there is so kind.

Called and got a same day appointment because my kittens back legs had started to give out and he had been acting very sluggish. Once the “doctor” (AMY GREEN) walked into the office she exclaims about how she got the “low down” on my kitten and said it sounded like “marijuana toxicity.” Mind you we told her NUMEROUS times that we didn’t have any in the house, she continued to insist that’s what it was while basically waving my kitten around in the air. She said she was going to talk to someone else and then came back and said “I’m pretty sure this is marijuana toxicity until proven otherwise.” No testing, nothing.
Well… we proved her otherwise because here we are twelve hours later and my kitten is dead… none of his symptoms had fit the toxicity and yet she kept insisting that’s what it was. Completely ignored any of what we had to say.
Super disappointed because I had loved this place previously and they could have possibly prevented the death of my kitten but instead chose to not take us seriously.

First time dog owner here and not going to lie, I picked this vet because it was the closest to me with the best reviews and so glad I did. They have been nothing short of amazing! I love that they’re an email or a phone call away to help me navigate through minor things with my dog. They have same day emergent appointments which I never heard of but is so brilliant. I highly recommended this vet and so glad to have my girl in the hands of such wonderful care. Staff and doctors are phenomenal.

Disorganized. I called to confirm an appointment. One hour later, I received a call to confirm the appointment. They don't send a text or email. Absolutely nothing. The first time, I went on the wrong day (which is my fault, but a text reminder, as most businesses do, would not be too much to ask). On the day of the appointment, because it was raining and my GPS took me somewhere else, I would be late, so I tried to call on my way to the clinic to find out whether the vet would be able to see my dog even though I was 10 min late. I tried to call at least three times, and nobody picked up. When I got there, they said the appointment would have to be rescheduled. The receptionist said they were receiving too many calls. I had to be flexible to understand that they don't properly staff for the incoming calls (which would have saved me the rest of the trip on the way there), but they could not accommodate my 10 minutes on a rainy day. I had to take a day off at work for this. There was absolutely no effort to try to accommodate it. They didn't ask if my dog had any serious condition to at least address him or give me any advice. They didn't care at all. Appointments available are months apart. This place is understaffed and accepts more patients than they can attend, so there`s no room for some flexibility when their service is far from good. I gave up on my deposit. I don't want to get back there.

Going to Hometown Veterinary has been a great experience. We have been able to make appointments on very short notice a few times. The staff is friendly and Dr. Green was very caring and compassionate during the last few weeks of our dog's illness. We don't plan on going anywhere else!

Wonderful vets who have taken care of my dog since he was a puppy and now he is seventeen. I feel like their care is excellent and their prices are fair… less than other vets.

I had an emergency this Sunday and went to MSU. They thought it was a heart issue. They were too full and didn't have staff to admit my dog and recommended I go to an emergency clinic for a thoracic xray and an ultrasound. I went to Blue Pearl, but they were backed up too so I took my dog home and was able to get into see Dr. Green the next day. She correctly diagnosed a back problem causing my dog's discomfort and didn't think it was her heart. This does not mean I'm dissatisfied with MSU or Blue Pearl. They have both helped me in the past satisfactorily. It means I'm dog gone glad Hometown Vet Clinic is there with such qualified staff to help.
