Knyen Dog Grooming
2550 92nd St SW, Byron CenterKnyen grooming was absolutely amazing! My poor 9 month old pitbull Ruby was sprayed by a skunk at 3am right in the face/mouth. I spent the morning calling around to groomers in the area. Nobody could get her in. Knyen did not hesitate with getting her in at 1pm that same day! They did an awesome job, she no longer smells! Will be returning for future services!

Pet Care
Byron Center Animal Hospital
7750 Clyde Park Ave SW, Byron CenterMy dog had split his toenail and the ER vet recommend I take him into my regular vet the following day if he's not in any pain. I tried going to my original vet place but they only accepted walk ins and I couldn't risk waiting another day for him, I called around and discovered the Byron Center Animal Hospital. To my surprise, they got me in within the day and had him immediately treated. They were very caring, gentle and sweet to my dog. They also answered any questions I had in a kind and patient manner. I do like how they do a follow up call and see how your pet is doing after the care, payment wise they also have options to help you apply for carecredit so you don't have to foot the entire bill upfront. I highly recommend this vet place!

Pet Sitting & Training
Byron Center Pet Boarding
9715 Clyde Park Ave SW, Byron CenterI have used Jen to watch our dog at least a dozen times in the last few years. EVERY SINGLE EXPERIENCE has been 5 stars. There are a few things people should note.1. This is a pet boarding facility at some ones house in their fenced in back yard. Your dog will get dirty, and if people would take the time to ask about it ahead of time, Jen is 100% up front about it. She even told me "I'd have her groomed after her stay, she'll likely get dirty playing outside." I appreciated that and set up an appointment in advance of me getting back.2. You're not paying Jen to wash your dog. That's ridiculous, for the price if you're expecting that you're unreasonable.3. My dog has always enjoyed her stay and been well cared for when I go to pick her up. People who say their dog was not well cared for either, didn't communicate properly to Jen, or had unrealistic expectations. All in all, I have taken our dog to other places, this is the best place I've used. Jen is flexible, caring, and always communicates. For a no nonsense experience at a fair price, look no further. If I could give her 10 stars I would.

Camp Bow Wow
1310 60th St SW, Byron CenterI worked here for a year and some months and to say this establishment is okay is an understatement. The employees, the managers, and the owner all show true love and respect for the animals and their care. This place has given me many wonderful memories. The patience and understanding comes from all employees having a passion for dogs. Every dog that has come through Camp Bow Wow’s door was shown love, care, and patience to the best of our ability. I loved that employees here pitched in and helped each other, we were all a team and we all worked hard on a schedule to make every day go by smoothly. I will miss the daycare dogs I watched after every day, and the boarding dogs I led to bed at night.
I will definitely bring my own dogs to this location if I would ever need a boarding stay because I know they will receive a high level of care and attention from staff.
For those looking at employment here are some helpful tips. Get educated on Dog Body Language, it is extremely detrimental and important to know proper play and stress signs. Bring a water bottle, you will need it. And love dogs!! Loving dogs is an important part of the job because every dog there loves you !

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Full Circle Coffee
8233 Byron Center Ave SW suite q, Byron CenterCute and quiet place to sit and have a good coffee and sweet treat. It’s a clean establishment with good seating, a selection of board games to play, and friendly staff. There wasn’t a huge selection of drinks or bakery items, but what they did have all looked good and like everyone can find something they like. This is a nice place to meet with a friend or do some work on your laptop.

Focus on Ferals
7962 Clyde Park Ave SW, Byron CenterFocus on Ferals helped me arrange for a feral cat to be neutered. They are not local to me, but they helped when no one else would. I could not find a TNR program local to me and no vet would take a feral cat that cannot be touched. Thank you FoF for helping me get this guy neutered and vaccinated!
